OMG so annoying. Esp those that lie.
You do watch TV so stop making out you spend all evening not looking at a screen!
Or those that say they never watch movies or go cinema. You then find out they go twice a year.
Watching sport or netflix counts as watching tv regardless if you watch it on your laptop or not.

It's annoyed me for a few years.
But people that make a point to say they don't watch much TV. Yet they watch crap reality TV. Erm again yes that counts as TV.
Just cos you haven't watched every single crime drama on BBC.

I say I don't watch TV.. and by that I mean I do not sit in front of it and keep channel surfng for things to watch. I know what I want to see, and I select those programs and nothing else.
I don't smoke but I tried a fag in my teens. Does that mean I am lying about not smoking?

I genuinely don’t, although weirdly, tonight I did. It was my NY resolution to watch more TV and tonight it went on, for the 2nd time this year.

People that say they don't. But they eventually mention sport , movies, News, etc etc that's watching TV

How little do I have to watch for it not to count as much? Is there a time limit, or is it only programmes that pass your personal entertainment quota that counts.

I doubt I watch even two hours of any type of visual media on any device a month. I read. I have to say I don’t watch tv within conversations that have veered that way - otherwise I don’t.

I don't go to the cinema but I have been to the cinema fairly recently. I went with my mother a year or so ago, before that I went in 2000. Is that too often to say I don't go?

Rarely watching TV would mean you don't stream anything. Other than once in a blue moon. And you don't watch stuff on your laptop eg I player, netflix. Amazon..Channel 4.
And you don't sit and watch hours of live sport.

I really don’t understand your issue. We have a tv but rarely watch it. Some people have it on as background noise. Neither is wrong .

My sister always says she doesn't watch any TV yet she seems to know every show that's on and every advert too. I only watch netflix/prime and I still say I watch TV

I do this - I say I don't watch TV, then I tell my colleagues about all of the TV I watch 🤣. It must drive them potty.

I think what I really mean is - I didn't used to watch TV at all, but now I watch one or two shows that I like, but only one or two nights a week. Which clearly equates to watching TV, so I need to stop saying that I don't 😳.
