If you are also doing absolutely nothing? I've had a terrible Christmas and I live alone, I've ordered a load of shit food from McColls (via Uber eats) including crumpets, crisps and pizza, and I'm staying in bed all day binge watching Motherland.

I feel slightly guilty when I think about all of the wholesome families going for dog walks, playing games etc. but also, fuck moving.

Anyone else doing similar to me today? Do share so I feel less of a lazy pig! 🤣

My family are just about to leave to go shopping. I am staying at home with a bag of maltesers a coffee and the remote control 😁

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 26/12/2022 12:41

Should be doing some laundry and paperwork but am sitting with feet up enjoying the sunshine, radio on, have just scoffed a small tray of angels on horseback ( the proper ones, prunes wrapped in bacon) and have a glass of wine to hand. I should go for walk but.....nah.

Will probably spend the afternoon in a similar fashion loafing and grazing (minus the angels on horseback because I only bought one tray).

Boxing Day is a relaxing day in this house, everyone just does whatever they want and it's lovely.

Eldest DS has gone to see his GF, youngest DS is watching sport on the sofa with DH.

I'm dicking around on the internet and probably won't change out of my pyjamas all day.

Dinner will be a takeaway.

FawnFrenchieMum · 26/12/2022 12:45

We’re going to a family gathering about 3.30 but until then I’m on the sofa in my oodie watching rugby and eating shit. Mum is out of order on Boxing Day morning.

Titsywoo · 26/12/2022 12:50

Nothing here apart from taking the dog for a walk later. Still in PJs - got up at 11. I have had no time off this year except one long weekend so this is my first proper break since last Xmas. Fully intend to take advantage and do as little as possible.

mamabear715 · 26/12/2022 12:52

Shopping the online sales, not brushed hair yet, who cares? :-)

Soccermumamir · 26/12/2022 12:54

I have not moved from the sofa and love it. Got my coffee, Christmas cake and currently watching Frozen after watching Big Hero 6. DH has his music on and boys are on their games. Boxing Day is my favourite day and I intend to do nothing 😊

HamzasHairnet · 26/12/2022 12:56

Cooked Christmas dinner for MIL yesterday. So today I'm doing fuck all. DH is currently making lunch and I'm lounging in my PJs. No intention of getting dressed or moving from the sofa except to wee/get chocolate.

Twinstudy · 26/12/2022 13:06

Had a lie in, took dog for a walk and now having a bath. After this I'm going to put on some PJ's and lounge on the sofa with a chocolate orange. Will have some leftovers later but that will be the extent of my standing up😁dh is doing some work so I've got the TV to myself. Bliss.

Poppyseed14 · 26/12/2022 13:09

I've had my mum staying for the last week and she's driving me nuts. Constantly sniping at me about something. I've been really unwell with covid too and I'm still not 100%. I'm still in bed (listening to whatever shite she is watching really loudly in tv downstairs) as the thoughts of going down to tread on eggshells in my own home does not appeal. I so admire people who have the guts to go LC/NC.

Hoppinggreen · 26/12/2022 13:10

I have various jobs I need to do but I have told everyone that I will only be moving off the sofa today for visits to the loo and kitchen. I will organise some food for everyone around 6 but other than that’s I’m doing nothing today but sit here eating rubbish, reading my kindle, watching TV etc

stargirl1701 · 26/12/2022 13:10

Boxing Day is the relaxing day. No cooking as we eat leftovers. Reading new books, playing with new toys, watching festive films, playing board games...this is the best part of Christmas!

ChocolateTea · 26/12/2022 13:11

I’m a sloth and I’m loving it. DP at work, DCs with their dad. I got dressed about midday and am sitting on the bed watching My Policeman and finishing the maltesters. Life goes so fast, I have no qualms in a few hours of lazy slobby time

TheYummyPatler · 26/12/2022 13:12

We are being lazy. The toddler isn’t dressed yet. I might dress him after he’s had a nap and walk round the corner to the park. But mostly we’re watching Disney films, and he’s driving cars and excavators around the floor.

The teenager is up and dressed. Mostly he is just planning to do as much gaming with his friends as he can get away with.

No wholesome walks going on here.

Always4Brenner · 26/12/2022 13:12

Lazy day Tudors on all day in pjs had shower of course nibbles treelets as wanted. Tomorrow I’ll do housework the cards can come down bathroom floor bleached got mop pads now.

StickyCricket · 26/12/2022 13:13

We walked the dog this morning, then I put a wash on and cleaned up the kitchen from yesterday.

At 12.30 I opened a bottle of champagne, we have a bunch of leftovers to work our way through and are about to put a film on. I don’t intend on doing anything productive for the rest of the day.

Enjoy your lazy day. Cheers!

yadaya · 26/12/2022 13:13

Boxing Day is usually my lazy day but my dad has decided to have a party today so we have to drive over an hour to attend then drive back later..... I'm a little bit gutted tbh.

I fully intend to stay in my pyjamas all day tomorrow!!

antelopevalley · 26/12/2022 13:15

Nothing here. Might go to the cemetery though. DH traditionally makes bubble and squeak and leftover turkey, so I don't even have to cook today.

nicknamehelp · 26/12/2022 13:16

I've just had mince pies for lunch followed by a bath and to change into clean pj's ready for afternoon on sofa. Men out watching football so having a blissful no stress day and I'm loving it. Normally away visiting family and always forced out on boxing day to "enjoy" some fresh air which I hate. Enjoy and wallow away x

Homebaby · 26/12/2022 13:24

Proper sloth day for me aswell op. Have migrated from bed to sofa purely because my lounge tv is better for watching my choice of sport. Pringles, dips and prosecco to hand and determined not to move unless absolutely necessary. Be lovely, had life turned out differently, to be having a wholeseme family day, but it didn't and I'm happily embracing life as it is! I'm sure there are many who would be jealous of our boxing day!

DipmeinChoc · 26/12/2022 13:27

I'm in bed ill with hot drinks and Netflix having barely slept last night with a blocked nose and fever. Enjoying the lazy day, need another snooze shortly.

MyBooksAndMyCats · 26/12/2022 13:32

We're on the sofa in pjs and blankets watching shrek, having KFC for dinner. Grin
Early night with a nice hot bath and call the midwife special!

warofthemonstertrucks · 26/12/2022 13:35

I still have family here today but I'm really condering trying to get out of planned trip to other family tomorrow. I'm back to work on Wednesday and one day of doing nothing is what I need!

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 26/12/2022 13:42

Weird old Boxing Day here. DH works in retail so set off to work at 8. DD(18) has gone home so it's just me and DD(13). We are making a Turkey curry for this evening and watching Deck the halls whilst playing Christmas quiz games.

Usually Boxing Day is like a second Christmas Day with us with family visiting and swapping presents so it feels a bit flat.

Needanewnameagain · 26/12/2022 13:44

Woke up with a sore throat today and it is progressing nicely into full-on cold..... coughing, sneezing the lot! So definitely a lazy day here. Slothing on the sofa feeling sorry for myself, hydrating with apple juice rather than the planned prosecco
