Iwanttoslowdown · 24/12/2022 17:37

Nope.

NewBootsAndRanty · 24/12/2022 17:38

Mam?

Aprilx · 24/12/2022 17:39

No I won’t be sad. Actually I don’t usually watch anyway, but if I did, there will be the King’s speech tomorrow.

Fraine · 24/12/2022 17:39

Er, no. Mawkish sentimentality.

tuvamoodyson · 24/12/2022 17:39

No…I haven’t listened to the Queens speech in decades!

quinceh · 24/12/2022 17:40

No, always found it really bland.

Paythosebitchesnomind269 · 24/12/2022 17:40

Yes, it won't be the same without her 😕

Glassofwhatever · 24/12/2022 17:40

Yes it will be strange

StaceySolomonSwash · 24/12/2022 17:40

I'd imagine that King Charles is finding it harder to deal with than you, @Foxytail

NewBootsAndRanty · 24/12/2022 17:38

Mam?

I think she means Ma'am.

wendywoopywoo222 · 24/12/2022 17:40

I've never listened to one so same as normal for me.

AllOfThemWitches · 24/12/2022 17:41

Yep, when she died, my kids told me not to bother with presents this year. No speech, no Christmas.

bizzywiththefizzy · 24/12/2022 17:41

No never watched it in fifty-odd years .

Always4Brenner · 24/12/2022 17:42

I’ll watch for the first time in years in peace without someone talking etc all the way through, it will be world but history being made as first king for 71 years.

LadyKenya · 24/12/2022 17:42

I am not feeling sad about that. No.

Always4Brenner · 24/12/2022 17:42

Sorry meant weird.

Bellevu · 24/12/2022 17:42

Dont watch it. Certainly this year wouldn't want to give up part of my day to an institution that's made it clear that it thinks people of colour like me have no place in 21st century UK, if we forget our place.

Tinselpipes · 24/12/2022 17:42

Nope.

Sad that we still have a monarchy, yes.

milski · 24/12/2022 17:43

Yes, she's been a constant for my whole life. I do miss her presence as a role model and leader.

Foxytail · 24/12/2022 17:43

I don’t think the royal family are racist at all

OP posts:
00100001 · 24/12/2022 17:43

Have never seen it in 42 years, so won't be sad at all

H1Drangea · 24/12/2022 17:43

We will sit and watch the King , with a glass of wine
It will be strange without the Queen , as she’s been there … forever

It’s a new era now
God save the King ! ( still sounds a bit Game of Thrones )

LadyKenya · 24/12/2022 17:44

Funny that out of all the comments you respond to that one.

Ponoka7 · 24/12/2022 17:45

I like having a royal family. However she tried to make us accept Andrew again, so she condoned what he did and tried to force us to as well. That changed my view of her. I now think that there could have been a lot more positive changes, which Charles wants to do, that she must have held back. I thought that every soldier who was in the last remembrance Sunday she attended should have had direct access past the coffin, with transport for the very elderly veterans but details like that were overlooked. She didn't support H&M and I've changed my opinion of her tbh.
