What presents would you love to get tomorrow but know you won't? Light hearted

I got my present last month (a heated throw) so I won't get anything tomorrow.

However, I would love to receive a body oil I love. Husband knows I want it and where to get it because he's been looking out for a deal for me to buy it for myself. It's normally £30. He would earn MAJOR brownie points but even if I hadn't already got my present he would never think to buy it for me.

Or an eternity ring but that is never going to happen. Ever.

My baby sleeping through the night. I'm starting to think that will never happen though! 😴

girlmom21 · 24/12/2022 08:13

Any surprise for me, I think.
DP and ILs are very much a 'what do you want' family, which is great because you don't get useless gifts but I love a surprise.

You'll get there @SlagathaChristie.
How olds baby?

Slimjimtobe · 24/12/2022 08:14

My Dh bought my car off me and I bought a 3 grand eternity ring and absolutely love it. didn’t tell anyone it was my own money. but I felt he gave me the money. I know what I am getting & am happy

get the ring if you can

lugeforlife · 24/12/2022 08:20

Some lovely bath shit (to quote Gavin and Stacey). I'd love some really posh luxurious stuff that I'd never buy myself.

I know I have a book I want, some earrings I love (saw them in a sale, bought them and gave them to dh), hopefully some day to day perfume and a nightie.

I do regularly ask for bath stuff every year but dh has a mental block in spending money on it as it goes down the plughole! He gets me nice stuff but stuff I'd get myself.

Whatatimetobealivetoday · 24/12/2022 08:20

To not have the stinking flu 😭😭

Zampa · 24/12/2022 08:23

A pink 1970 Bella Freud jumper.

I love knitwear but £350 is a bit much even for me tbh. I'd probably even be cross with DH for spending that much if he did get it for me!

DappledThings · 24/12/2022 08:23

Charity goat

Saddogmum73 · 24/12/2022 08:26

Bradley Cooper naked under my tree. Unlikely but you never know……

bluebird3 · 24/12/2022 08:39

A weekend away by myself. I'm running on empty with a baby and toddler. It will never happen though as dh hates being solely in charge of childcare and has never done more than 3-4 hours

Mummieslncorporated · 24/12/2022 08:41

There's not really anything I want, unless you count a winning lottery ticket..?

PermanentTemporary · 24/12/2022 08:43

Christmas Day spent with dp. It will happen one day but not just yet.

Sessions with a personal trainer. Life has been chaotic, work unbearable, I've dumped exercise and am a flabby whale. Nobody's going to do it for me though..

ABrotherWhoLooksLikeHellMugYou · 24/12/2022 08:44

Engagement ring. It'd be cheesy, but I'd love it. Not going to happen though as we recently moved house and unexpectedly need to sink upwards of 20k on windows, doors and cavity wall insulation so sparkly things will have to wait for now.
Would love to tell the kids we want to get married but they're very black and white thinkers and they probably won't believe us without jewellery lol

Failing that I want some really warm slippers (see point above re:windows and insulation) but I think DP has managed to run to those!

AtomicBlondeRose · 24/12/2022 08:45

I wanted the No 7 Beauty box (with full sized day and night creams and assorted unguents) so I bought it for myself! £41 just before Christmas is a bit silly but even if someone buys me one, I’ll just have two.

SlagathaChristie · 24/12/2022 08:47

@gigirlmom21 thank you! 9 months. He's never been a good sleeper, but since the 6 month regression he's had bad teething, a cold, more teething, another cold, and now separation anxiety combined with a stomach bug. Only a few days between each thing, or not at all. Ah well. He's cute and happy still.

maslinpan · 24/12/2022 08:47

Quotes from both builders who came to discuss a bathroom project. It's been weeks!

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 24/12/2022 08:47

I love my husband, BUT I found 2 tickets to take that on the printer. I gave them to dh who looked v v annoyed, then he came to me 5 minutes later saying he had printed them for FIL who has bought them for MIL and couldn't figure out how to print them. So either I have a great present with no surprise or I'll have my hopes dashed!

You'll start having occasional nights soon!
My 16 month old has one full night every month or so. Fingers crossed tonight's the night!

Fireyflies · 24/12/2022 08:49

A heated gilet. Because I only found out such wonderful things existed a few days ago. I shall buy myself one though. I feel the cold easily.

inappropriateraspberry · 24/12/2022 08:50

A good nights uninterrupted sleep on my own with a lie in and breakfast in bed!
I am absolutely exhausted.

GorgeousLadyofWrestling · 24/12/2022 08:52

Ice skates! I skated a lot as a teen - about 3 times a week for years - but then moved away, grew up and got into other stuff. Then the other week I went ice skating with my kids and it all came right back! Have been daydreaming about getting my own skates again but it’s highly unlikely DH will get them. We’re skint and don’t get each other presents.

I got confused with Bradley Walsh and thought that was quite a sweet, but unusual choice 😁

stbrandonsboat · 24/12/2022 08:59

A pretty ring

Butterlover1 · 24/12/2022 09:01

Remarkable 2

To not have the stinking flu 😭😭

The whole of my family not to have flu. I had it a couple months ago, everyone in our extended family has dropped like flies 😫

Elsanore · 24/12/2022 09:04

Denby Azure sugar bowl with a lid (DP claims these don't exist)
Bras and knickers that fit, ranging from daily comfortable sets to glamorous ones
Long sleeved cotton pyjamas that are magically always smooth without ironing
Lovely soaps and hand creams
Thermal underwear that's not horrible looking
Socks that don't pull down if you wear them with wellies

I have most of this sitting in my basket at online shops, ready to swoop and buy for myself if/ when it gets reduced in the sale. Not the PJs I don't think they exist.

I am already getting: Crochet bag, curly hair shampoo and products set, water bottle and travel coffee cup. Well that's what I said when people asked what I wanted anyway.
