What presents would you love to get tomorrow but know you won't? Light hearted

I got my present last month (a heated throw) so I won't get anything tomorrow.

However, I would love to receive a body oil I love. Husband knows I want it and where to get it because he's been looking out for a deal for me to buy it for myself. It's normally £30. He would earn MAJOR brownie points but even if I hadn't already got my present he would never think to buy it for me.

Or an eternity ring but that is never going to happen. Ever.

Nothing, honestly. I don't need anything. If I want something I'll go and buy it.

Elsanore · 24/12/2022 09:06

Sorry I totally missed the lighthearted nature of the question and just reeled off my boring list in great detail!

Would not say no to a young, fight club era Brad Pitt coming down the chimney as well.

My health.

I would love to have a day without my health condition and be like a normal person and do the things with my family that I have not been able to do for the last few years.

An annual subscription to a house cleaning service.

OutDamnedSpot · 24/12/2022 09:16

Cleaning fairy, an extra few hours at the end of each day, and a car that works.

Ostryga · 24/12/2022 09:18

For Dd not to have requested a Barbie dream house so I don’t have to put the bloody thing up tonight. It is obnoxiously large.

But she will be so happy tomorrow, so every cloud 😅

Abraxan · 24/12/2022 09:18

To not have this chest infection and virus still, that just won't go even after the course of antibiotics. Still hoping the second, different AB might kick in overnight.

To not have this cough tomorrow would be a delight!

TheOtherBoleynGirls · 24/12/2022 09:20

Jack O’Connell

When I was 10 I was given a box of milk tray. I'd never had a box of chocolates before and as my mum was diabetic we didn't often have chocolates in the house so I told them it was my favourite present.

25 years later, I fucking hate the sight of Milk Tray it's all certain family members give me. They don't even have the same flavours that they used to. It's lazy and thoughtless.

Missed the point of the thread during my rant! So instead, I'd like a box of chocolates that is not milk tray, and doesn't come off a supermarket shelf.

A few years ago when we were DINKY and had loads of spare cash DH went completely OTT and bought me a very posh necklace.

The same designer makes a ring to go with it.... its ridiculously expensive, the designer is more well known now and is more expensive. I'd love it but no way is it happening and tbh I'd actually question his judgement a tiny bit if he did because its just too much money!!

TabithaTittlemouse · 24/12/2022 09:28

I would like a cleaner.
I know I’m getting nothing as Dh has already told me.

JFDIYOLO · 24/12/2022 09:34

My mother's partner not to have landed himself in hospital through his own selfish thoughtless behaviour (he is doing ok, she is badly affected)

My work fixed term contract to be extended another year

My partner to finally clear the sitting room of his junk

Nocaloriesinchocolate · 24/12/2022 09:37

A new iPad from DH but I know I wont as Ive been dropping hints for months and only in the last 2 weeks has he realised he needs to get one and they’ve all sold out!!! Very first world problem I know

BloodyShoes · 24/12/2022 09:38

Just not shit presents that waste money. DP insists on surprises and they can be hit and miss. I mostly buy my own for the kids to wrap 🤣

Go buy yourself something, even if only a little treat. Xx

Goldensunnydays81 · 24/12/2022 09:59

I would love some headphones, a few prints to put above my bed and a new pancreas so I didn’t have type 1 diabetes anymore 🤣 don’t think any o those are going to happen 😭😭

EmergencyPoncho · 24/12/2022 10:00

A large doodle or Morris minor (cream, convertible).

SnowAndIceLobelia · 24/12/2022 10:02

Pony.

Or a Horse.

I'm not fussy.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 24/12/2022 10:03

I'd like my friend back. We had a stupid falling out and we realised it was actually a big misunderstanding yet we've not sorted it or resumed the friendship.

I feel so lonely without her.

Or, the special edition of Evelyn Hugo. I've already got and read the standard edition. It's literally a waste of money and space but I really want it.

moggerhanger · 24/12/2022 10:05

A Trekker Kelly Kettle. (I already have the Scout but it's a bit big to take on day expeditions.) I have dropped multitudinous hints since last year, but so far they have landed on stony ground.
