What presents would you love to get tomorrow but know you won't? Light hearted

I got my present last month (a heated throw) so I won't get anything tomorrow.

However, I would love to receive a body oil I love. Husband knows I want it and where to get it because he's been looking out for a deal for me to buy it for myself. It's normally £30. He would earn MAJOR brownie points but even if I hadn't already got my present he would never think to buy it for me.

Or an eternity ring but that is never going to happen. Ever.

Anything with Mum on it would just melt my heart, eldest is 26 and still not one thing with Mum on it

AGoodDayForSomebodyElseToDie · 24/12/2022 11:44

A sword - not just any sword, a very specific selection box of swords, for historical fencing and general martial arts fun.

I wouldn't say no to a winning lottery ticket either. Then I could buy my own swords 😎

Laid

And a clean tidy organised house.

I'll have to settle for the wine thats in the fridge that I bought myself though.

redpinkyellow · 24/12/2022 11:50

We put an offer in on a house 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back from the vendor....I'd like them to accept the offer please 🙏🏼

Nothing, honestly. I don't need anything. If I want something I'll go and buy it.

I'm the same! My husband gets annoyed with me cos I always tell him not to buy me anything.. if I want it I'll get it myself.. also I can't cope with his terrible present choices when he does try to surprise me

@GorgeousLadyofWrestling I am a skater’s mum. Join the ice skating buy and sell pages for used boots on Facebook. I know second hand boots are not great but if you are just going to use them to accompany kids they’ll be alright.

Or if you want new, drop me a private message. I can tell you the shops that are good and the ones to avoid.

PolkaDotMankini · 24/12/2022 11:55

A handheld IPL device for home use. I know I won't get it so bought it myself when it was reduced on Amazon a few days ago and gave hidden it in the wardrobe just in case!

A puppy.

We lost our boy last month and it feels to soon for another but equally the house feels so empty. I would like one just to magically appear so I don't have to make a decision about getting one.😁

(Light-hearted obvs I would never get a puppy over Christmas and without any involvement in the process but still...)

My daughter is desperate for a puppy and every time she makes a wish it's always for a puppy but we can't afford it.

SingingSands · 24/12/2022 12:07

New walking boots! Have hinted and hinted and hinted to DH for six months, but I know he's got me perfume (and it's my favourite so I'm very happy).

I got confused with Bradley Walsh and thought that was quite a sweet, but unusual choice 😁

Oh, I LOVE Bradley Walsh 😍

JellyfishandShells · 24/12/2022 12:42

I’ve just tried DDs AirPods (hardly any earphones suit me) and they are so comfortable - that would have been a such good thing to suggest when asked back in Nov.

Can buy some myself but laptop has been given lots of ‘ pull yourself together ‘ technical attention to little avail so that will have to come first 😕

PearTreeBoat · 24/12/2022 12:47

Absolutely anything!!

Without looking for a sympathy vote, now that covid restrictions have disappeared, friends have all gone back to travelling to see friends/family over Christmas so I'll once again be on my own for the next 4 days till I go back to work and there will certainly be no presents from Santa (or anyone else) tomorrow 😢

But I have splashed out on a pair of silk lounge wear/pj's, a bottle of champagne, a posh bottle of red and a lovely joint of beef so definitely could be worse.

bridgetreilly · 24/12/2022 13:06

I would just love to get something really beautifully wrapped. My family are very, uch functional wrappers, whereas I really love something with an extra bow or ribbon, or unusual colours or, you know, something. I won’t get it, but that’s what I would love.

bridgetreilly · 24/12/2022 13:10

@StrawberryWater I saw one that someone had just finished building earlier this year and it was truly amazing!

RJnomore1 · 24/12/2022 13:15

The 100 stars Venice map robe. I haven’t told anyone I like it so I know I won’t get it but my mil usually gives me money and I think I’ll buy myself it.

xogossipgirlxo · 24/12/2022 13:16

Nothing from things I can buy. I would like guarantee that I will have healthy baby and that I will be OK after labour.

Cherrysoup · 24/12/2022 13:19

A magic pill that loses stones off you. However, my DH will be off work (all day!) so I’m pretty happy, it!s a rare thing.

ThePoshUns · 24/12/2022 13:20

Cashmere bed socks

HerRoyalNotness · 24/12/2022 13:31

I wish we didn’t have an 8hr drive today to get home. And for someone to invite us for Xmas lunch tomorrow as we have no food in. Could have planned that better.

Dishwashersaurous · 24/12/2022 13:40

To wake up better from this blasted flu

Nagado · 24/12/2022 13:49

Nothing material. Our DN is coming to spend the day with us and he’s feeling really poorly so all he wants is his mum. I would love if he felt well enough for cuddles with his aunty Nag because he melts my heart.

Spirini · 24/12/2022 13:49

I buy all my own jewellery OP, why not?! I'm so fussy that my husband is afraid to buy for me 🤪

It truly is.

Sadly I don’t have £500+ for one. 😭😭😭

Oh no. Hope you still have a good Christmas
