DC have FINALLY decided they are done with their playmobil so of course we have to build it all to photograph & sell.

This hospital is better equipped than my own university hospital 😂 I am struggling to write the listing 😂 who is going to want this in their house?!

This is an absolute MASSIVE set which has been loved and played with and is still in beautiful condition. Are you jaded with life? Bring joy back into your life with this state of the art hospital. It has one bed unoccupied !!

Well, that's the great thing about old style Playmobil. You can call all the people whatever names you like. Our current Playmo population stands at 1253 (and yes, they all have names!). Xmas Smile

It looks gorgeous. If you are still planning on selling it, I would suggest you put it in front of a white or brightly colored backdrop, instead of the black backdrop. That will bring out the colors and really make it pop I think. It looks absolutely delightful and if my knees didn't creak when I sit down, I would love to play with it myself!

Noted! I shall re-shoot pics tomorrow. You’re right. White is better as a background.

Aw but it'll be so nice. My mum kept a huge magnetic theatre thing from when I was little and now my son is loving it 😍

we have nowhere near that much. 7 or so large tubs. Maybe 8. Maybe another 3.

It started off as ds's Playmobil. He had it from when he was 5 up until early teens. He loved it and always asked for some for birthdays/Christmas, or saved up his pocket money for it, so ended up with quite a lot. By the time he'd stopped playing with it, I'd started making dioramas, so I've added to the collection quite a bit over the last few years. (Ds will be 22 tomorrow!) I buy quite a bit 2nd hand off ebay, and occasionally something new if there's stuff I think will be useful. Xmas Smile

We have mostly got a lot of playmo dinosaurs (including babies in eggs) and the big annoying volcano that gets in the way. Then a bunch of miscellaneous sets like an ice cream shop and a mum in hospital with a baby.

We do have a fair bit of "Playmobil 1 2 3" which is like the Duplo of Playmobil with no miniscule pieces and is v sturdy . DD loves the house with the doorbell and toilet flush sounds and she sometimes uses it to house Sylvanian families (because there are too many families and not enough houses) 😅 IMO the Sylvanian tiny pieces are even worse 😣.

The DC are desperate to keep a lot of things, as my parents kept a lot that they play with.

Whoops pressed send too soon. It’s a chaotic day at the mumsnet Armadale. The hairdressers merged into a pizza takeaway. You know how it goes…. There is a wedding reception going on in the food court too!
