DC have FINALLY decided they are done with their playmobil so of course we have to build it all to photograph & sell.

This hospital is better equipped than my own university hospital 😂 I am struggling to write the listing 😂 who is going to want this in their house?!

This is an absolute MASSIVE set which has been loved and played with and is still in beautiful condition. Are you jaded with life? Bring joy back into your life with this state of the art hospital. It has one bed unoccupied !!

I HEART this thread so so much.

We had aeroplane (often staffed by pirates tho), castle (loved that) pirate ship (yaaas), paddling pool with working shower, speedboat, helicopter, but nothing as good as this hospital. LOVE it.

Clarabe1 · 03/12/2022 23:43

Was that an accident? Is it me or does that doctor look a bit suspicious standing there ? Not showing any interest in helping the poor chap up is he? What’s the backstory here I wonder? 🤔

My son regularly tells me not to get rid of his Playmobil pirate ships on pain of death. He'll be 50 next year.
The hospital would be a terrific asset in a children's ward to talk through what to expect and so on.

I love this! I had two ships when I was a kid. Pirate and whatever the ‘good’ guys were supposed to be. My kids never really got into play Mobile and I will forever be mildly disappointed that I have never been able to play with it again.

AgathaMystery · 03/12/2022 23:47

I think it’s really important that we don’t assign blame here. This is an open and honest culture and we have a duty of candour to the patient.

he’s laid down now so we’ll triage him and get him to the ward as soon as we can. Let me find a pensioner to discharge. It’s only almost midnight after all.

He'a about to go on lunch!

SeththeSloth · 03/12/2022 23:49

We love playmobil in this house too. My husband is getting the Knight Rider car complete with The Hoff for Christmas (can’t wait to see his face when he opens it)

AgathaMystery · 03/12/2022 23:51

Here we go. This patient looks elderly. Please make sure he goes back to his flat immediately! Just bleep the site prac if you have a problem getting him on a bus.

@AgathaMystery I don't mean to be a killjoy, but do you have consent from all the patients and staff to share their pictures and their presenting reasons for attending Mumsnet Infirmary? I'd hate for the information commissioner to receive a report :( may need to see what data sharing agreements are in place too Wink

AgathaMystery · 03/12/2022 23:55

Good point. I believe these are stills taken from 24hrs in Mumsnet A&E but could you get the comms team to liaise closely? It’s important that our stakeholders are protected. God forbid if some annoying member of the public does a FOI.

Not sure where the bed mgr is but young Tom has been bed blocking since summer 2004. It’s a bit much isn’t it? Sister Lisa Duffin has had enough

I think information governance would be more appropriate to deal with this, but if these are stills from a publicised television show, then carry on posting Wink

Oh god FOIs! A word more offensive than the C word! Bain of my life!!!

logs onto whatdotheyknow.com to see what FOIs are available for Mumsnet Infirmary

AgathaMystery · 04/12/2022 00:00

We both know the governance team are all in the on-site Costa. Hygiene isn’t great in there.

I love the direction this thread is taking, Classics anyone? 🙃

ChecoPerez · 04/12/2022 00:02

Dear FOI officer.

I would be grateful if you could please provide me with the following information:

  1. The current waiting time to be seen within a&e
  2. The current waiting time from diagnosis to treatment within the acute directorate in particular

I would appreciate a response within the 20 working day timescale.

I would like the information in a word document format.

Kind regards

C Perez

ChecoPerez · 04/12/2022 00:03

And for clarity, my FOI is in relation to Mumsnet Infirmary!

AgathaMystery · 04/12/2022 00:09

Dear @ChecoPerez I’m afraid we need to recalibrate these empty scales before we start worrying about wait times!

Those bottles are at 37 degrees so can you make sure they are used soon please.

This thread is making me miss working in health care (even though I wasn't actually in a hands on, patient facing role lol).

Another vote for classics nomination

SoMuchToBits · 04/12/2022 00:14

This is all brilliant! I'm a total Playmo lover, and have done many Playmo scenes over the years if anyone wants to see them!

I recognise some of the characters in these scenes, as we have them ourselves! Xmas Smile

It’s a firm yes from me.

It looks gorgeous. If you are still planning on selling it, I would suggest you put it in front of a white or brightly colored backdrop, instead of the black backdrop. That will bring out the colors and really make it pop I think. It looks absolutely delightful and if my knees didn't creak when I sit down, I would love to play with it myself!

ItsBritneyBitch45 · 04/12/2022 00:23

I loveeee this! I may need to buy something like this for myself

SoMuchToBits · 04/12/2022 00:24

Well, if you want to see any of mine, just search under any thread title which includes "Playmobil people in our house". My current thread is an advent calendar, but there are many going back over the years.

And your elderly looking patient is Algernon (we have him!).

Well that’s me not going to bed. Algernon has been discharged to the community - can you make sure someone comes to get his TTO tomorrow please? It was OOH so we just sent him home without them.

We only just recently got rid of our Playmobil hospital, school and medieval castle. They got a lot of play, especially the hospital. Loved it.
