He broke the covid rules he helped put in place. He cheated on his wife and left his children for the OW. Why the actual fuck are people voting for this Tory to stay?

It's a reality TV show, I know no one on there personally so don't care who wins

Gem123J · 26/11/2022 23:43

People seem to have forgotten what he did! And they’ve also forgotten that he’s a politician, the ultimate actors of the country!

I’m waiting for the “oh, but we all broke the rules”, no we “all” did not. Also, he was the one who helped with making these rules, or “guidelines” as they’re called now. A 4 or 5 year old died alone in hospital because his Mum wasn’t allowed in because of these “rules/guidelines”. People were out of work (and some of us not entitled to any government support).

He is not a person, he is a politician!

Don’t be so ridiculous. I hope he wins.

Absolutely right ☝🏼☝🏼☝🏼☝🏼

Dacadactyl · 26/11/2022 23:48

@Gem123J are you sure a 4 or 5 year old died without their mum being there? Please could you provide a link to this news story because i just cant believe it?

Gem123J · 26/11/2022 23:53

@Dacadactyl
I remember reading something about a 4 or 5 year old but can’t find it now, I will carry on searching though because I definitely remember something in the beginning of the first lockdown.

In the meantime there was certainly a 13 year old boy who died alone in hospital of Covid;

www.itv.com/news/2020-04-01/coronavirus-13-year-old-victim-died-alone-friend-says-ismail-mohamed-abdulwahab-kings-college-hospital

but from what I remember about the young child, he didn’t die of Covid, but he was in hospital and was alone.

SecretPeston · 26/11/2022 23:54

You couldn't makeitup. He should be in jail along with Boris.

MarshaMelrose · 26/11/2022 23:54

AIBU To think Matt Hancock should have been voted off?

Shoulda, woulda, coulda... But he's still there.

whoareyouinviting · 26/11/2022 23:56

Well I guess this is another great example of British voting...sometimes I think I'm on another planet from everyone else. Can the public not see what he is doing by being on this show and acting like the 'nice guy'? I'm just sad people are falling for it.

Dacadactyl · 26/11/2022 23:59

@Gem123J Thanks for the link.

RIP Ismail Mohamed.

All i can think is that they didnt know he was going to die so quickly. I cant believe the medics wouldve stopped at least one person from going in to be with him.

Why did you say he died alone then if he didn't

user164865329 · 27/11/2022 00:01

It was a 13 year old, why did you say 4 or 5 year old @Gem123J

The 13 year old did…

and I remember reading an article about a younger child who died without family around him too, but if I mixed it with the above article I don’t know, over 2 years have passed.

Still sad that a 13 year old died without family though surely? And heartbreaking for the parents not being there for him in his final moments because of the stupid rules. How does someone recover from that?

Maybe don't state things without getting your facts right

@user164865329

as stated I thought I recalled a story of a 4 or 5 year old. But I said there was certainly a 13 year old. I explained that in the following post with the link to that specific story. 4 or 5 or 13 or even 16, still heartbreaking dying without anyone by your side I would imagine.

Surely I’m not the first person ever to say something without getting my facts 100% correct? I am just an ordinary person after all, not a reporter, lecturer or historian, so apologies if me getting an age wrong has caused such an issue.

You blamed MH for something that didn't happen

tiggergoesbounce · 27/11/2022 00:11

@Gem123J it absolutely is a disgrace you are right, but you know that. Any decent person knows that.

How do the parents get over it??
They dont. Especially not watching the very person preaching about keeping to the rules, on the TV, with the very person he was shagging and breaking those rules with, whilst cheating on his wife and leaving his family for.
Pretty disgusting individual.

user164865329 · 27/11/2022 00:12

People should check their facts before they post on these sorts of forums though

user164865329 · 27/11/2022 00:14

Anyway to answer the OP, I doubt anyone even thought of Boris when they voted.

He's entered a contest, in your perspectives why should what happened outside the game, influence the game ?

Icecreamandapplepie · 27/11/2022 00:18

I think it would've gone very differently if the 5 free votes weren't there.

Wind up merchants wouldn't pay to vote for matt.

I'm not denying he has genuine fans,just seen alot of 'my son knows it puts the cat among the pigeons so thinks its funny to use his 5 votes', and 'I want to wind the woke crowd up so I'm voting 5 times every episode' etc etc

Hawkins001 · 27/11/2022 00:18

SecretPeston · 26/11/2022 23:54

You couldn't makeitup. He should be in jail along with Boris.

By that logic, so should a good majority of the public that did not follow the covid rules

These sorts of forums? Why though? It’s not the kind of place people go for reference to write essays or articles so why must they be fact checked? Wikipedia has a lot of false information too, or is Wikipedia not as official as a forum to look for information?

tiggergoesbounce · 27/11/2022 00:19

🤣🤣🤣🤣They added the link for people to read, simply got an age wrong, the story and point they were making was the same.
Obviously expecting a resonse to the appauling story.

@user164865329

but a 13 year old has died, alone! Forget the incorrect age of a 4 or 5 year old then, but a child still has died, alone! Alone because of the rules!

Or doesn’t the 13 year old child matter? Or all the others who died alone because of the rules / guidelines?
