Today I was working 1-2-1 with a yr 3 child, and we were using Matilda as a base for our session. The pupil then said I looked a bit like Miss Trunchbull from the film !

Has anyone else been compared to people they would rather not be?

My son (white, blond) was walking home the other day, carrying a crate of beer with his (black) flatmate. Someone yelled 'Oi Dahmer!' at them 😱

Depending on the age of the children, they may well not even be thinking that way at all - it might just be that their mum/aunt/adult friend is pregnant and they're wondering if other women are as well, regardless of whether you 'look it' or not!

Many years ago my son told me that I look like Steve Martin. Im a woman and at the time I was about 37. I'm now 54 and still find myself studying Steve Martin when he's on screen and I can't for the life of me find a resemblance!

Well, not one that springs to mind right now about myself, but I was looking through a picture book with my toddler (21 months), and I was pointing at animals, and he was naming them. I pointed at a huge gorilla, thinking I'd caught him out, as he might not know that one. I pointed, he thought for a while, and then said brightly 'daddy!'.

When I put product in and style it up DS calls me Johnny Bravo.
