Apparently I look like Miss Trunchbull from Matilda...

Today I was working 1-2-1 with a yr 3 child, and we were using Matilda as a base for our session. The pupil then said I looked a bit like Miss Trunchbull from the film !

Has anyone else been compared to people they would rather not be?

She’s dead pretty though, I wouldn’t be insulted!

Apparently when I was younger I told our next door neighbour that she looked like Pat Butcher. Looking back, she did wear massive earrings and had short hair but otherwise looked absolutely nothing like her

I had my shoulder length hair cut to a chin length bob....my son said I looked like He-Man. I used to love my khaki parka coat , until the day I was wearing it with a check scarf....same son said I looked like a member of Mossad. Good job I love the cheeky bugger! 😁

I worked in Clarks as a student and while fitting their shoes a child (4-5ish) said I looked like the witch from their book. Their mum studied me for a good 10 seconds before confirming that I did a bit, actually. Didn't think to ask what the book was...

I used to look like Sharon from Eastenders about 10 years ago when I had my hair long & bulked out with extensions.

My DS8 recently told me I look like Samuel Pepys 😂

Yep another Truchbull here. I even try sometimes brush hair and little makeup, then I see a photo and there she is staring back.

My husband recently told me I’ve always looked around 40ish, I’ve just caught up with myself in age - cheers love we’ve been together since i was 21.

Its one of her phrases when she gets upset "miss trunchbull going to throw you out the window" and "put you in the chokey" i find it secretly hilarious but not so much when she shouts it out in class or on a crowded bus..

Miss Hoolie from Balamory, but that's ok and I do look like her.

I look like every black-curly-haired person you can think of, apparently. From Andie McDowell to Mother Gothel, via Cher and everyone else with long black ringlet-y hair.

I mean, I don't look any of them, but I do according to everyone else.

I had a little girl in the toddler room tell me I looked just like Barbie. But I don’t look anything like Barbie I was just wearing my hair up in a ponytail. So… don’t put too much stock in a comparison like that, could be any tiny, little similarity.

A patient’s husband told me I looked like Barbara Windsor. I was blonde and wearing a starched nurses uniform but still………. ☹️

Its a long time ago now, but I was about 11 or 12 and was walking to school. I had a blonde bob haircut with a fringe and round Harry Potter style glasses.

Years ago when I was in my teens someone told me I looked like Fern Cotton. I had to ask who that was, my mum piped up “oh I know, she’s the big fat one off this morning” (Fern Britton)

I bumped into a classmate from the 70’s recently. He said, “I know you. You always looked like Suzie Quattro and you still do”.

When my cousin was younger, her neighbours were chatting to her and said "We've been trying to figure out who you remind us of and it's Jon Bon Jovi". She was quite offended and they said "Well we think he's very good looking". He's a man! They honestly thought it was a compliment.

Well over the years, I was told Goldie Hawn, then Olive from on the busses, then Snape...quite a mix
