luxxlisbon · 22/10/2022 20:45

No.

Newpuppymummy · 22/10/2022 20:45

Hmm. I think I would want to know then regret it!

Sparklesocks · 22/10/2022 20:45

Nope

MoreTeaLessCoffee · 22/10/2022 20:46

Yes

Bluebellsand · 22/10/2022 20:46

Not for myself and others.

Mamai90 · 22/10/2022 20:46

No

overgrowngrass · 22/10/2022 20:47

Yes definitely! I’d pay less into my pension if I knew I was going to die beforehand, for example.

OneCup · 22/10/2022 20:47

Yes. Then I could plan accordingly. No point worrying about pensions and investments if I'm going to pop my clogs next year

Anonymouseposter · 22/10/2022 20:47

No

CheeseForTea · 22/10/2022 20:48

Definitely not

Bumpsadaisie · 22/10/2022 20:48

Oh lord no!

Funny that. I wonder why I feel so strongly.

schoolissues1234 · 22/10/2022 20:49

Yes

HouseInChaos · 22/10/2022 20:50

Absolutely.

tickticksnooze · 22/10/2022 20:51

Considering the level of distress experienced by most people given the news that they have a disease that is going to kill them within x timeframe, no. I think anybody saying yes is kidding themselves.

Birthdaycake25 · 22/10/2022 20:51

I think yes. I would be nice knowing when your last Xmas or last holiday was so you could really make it special. You could also prepare financially if you knew how how much pension you needed or if you would need care in your 90s or not. You could also plan your own funeral ready and clear out your belongings so you don't leave it all to your loved ones to do. Obviously I'm someone that likes to plan!!
I don't think I would like to know when my DH was going to die though. I can't bare to think about it, and if it turned out to be quite young I would be devastated. I'd rather not know.

PleaseYourselfandEatTheCrusts · 22/10/2022 20:52

No, I think I'd hate mentally counting down the days.

Jellykat · 22/10/2022 20:52

No.
My dad always knew he'd never make it past 40, it affected him all his life.. he died at 36.

hesaysimterrible · 22/10/2022 20:53

Nope

girlmom21 · 22/10/2022 20:53

are we allowed to take out life insurance once we know if it's worth it?

Atmywitsend29 · 22/10/2022 20:54

Only to aid my decision whether to sacrifice 5 years for 5million quid 😉

user568720164728553401928574738 · 22/10/2022 20:54

Yes.

We're all dying anyway.

Tangled123 · 22/10/2022 20:54

I don’t want to know. I mean, I might like to receive confirmation if I’m not going to die in the next 5/10/20 years etc but I wouldn’t want confirmation if I am going to die in the next 5/10/20 years.
