4 of those mugshots would not be acceptable as British passport photo id, because they are smiling. I suspect the passport authorities would not accept Trump's mugshot either. The rules are strictly enforced, as many Brits have found when they thought they were submitting perfectly acceptable photos, sometimes because of wrong advice from the supermarket (in my case) who took the photo

Why can't he pay his own legal fees?

Why should he when there are mugs stupid enough to pay them for him? I just can't wrap my head around someone stupid enough to look at their own financial position in life and then look at this 'alleged' billionaire (because no one really knows what he's worth) and think "Oh yes, let me send money to this man!!!".

Let someone else pay for it has been his modus operandi his entire life and we can see it's still working for him.
