Where is Nicholas Witchell?

I can’t be the only one wondering where the BBC’s royal correspondent has got to these days. He’s not been heard from since the day they announced the queens death. Not that I miss the man, but surely he has the easiest job at the beeb.

So now people are wishing serious ill health on him. Lovely.

Dreikanter · 14/09/2022 22:17

Witchell seems to have failed to cultivate any kind of relationship with the RF, which you’d think would be a requirement for being a decent royal correspondent.

Jonny Dymond gets my vote.

NancyDrooo · 14/09/2022 22:18

Yes where is Jennie Bond? And I’m very surprised (but pleased) Paul Burrell hasn’t popped up yet.

VladmirsPoutine · 14/09/2022 22:18

I wonder what he did to get on Charles' tits so much, you'd have thought the RF would have loved a sycophantic journalist.

AgnestaVipers · 14/09/2022 22:19

He's like one of those school dweebs who want to be associated with the cool kids but are despised by them.

Crappydoo · 14/09/2022 22:20

He's retired to his underground lair where he is making voodoo dolls of Charles to unleash on Monday

Jennie Bond left the bbc in 2003.

Clawdy · 14/09/2022 22:21

What was the "vile comment" someone mentioned earlier??

SpinCityBlues · 14/09/2022 22:21

lizziesiddal79 · 14/09/2022 16:44

Reminds me of Uriah Heep.

Or Mr Collins in Pride and Prejudice

Sycophantic and yet bewilderingly rude at the same time

dudsville · 14/09/2022 20:34

He made a vile comment on the day whilst on air with Huw. It doesn't bear repeating but I thought it was a nasty thing to say. I didn't know of him prior to this so it has summed him up for me.

What was it????!!!!

BeggarsMeddle · 14/09/2022 22:22

DogInATent · 14/09/2022 16:12

He's being prepared for the Wicker Corgi.
It's what she would have wanted.

Inspired!! 😆

Anonymouseposter · 14/09/2022 22:24

I'm not surprised the King has no time for him. He keeps making veiled references to the difficult family relationships etc. and seems to like the drama. He appears sycophantic on the surface but he's very sly with his comments.

FredrikaPeri · 14/09/2022 22:25

AnyFucker · 14/09/2022 21:25

He’s gone back to playing Mr Burns on The Simpsons

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

antelopevalley · 14/09/2022 22:25

So he is not simply repeating how marvellous they all are,
How dare he!
Sack him.

FredrikaPeri · 14/09/2022 22:26

OldAndTubby · 14/09/2022 21:35

OMG!!! I've had a lightbulb moment! Ginger and hated by Charles - is he Harry's dad? (I always thought it was the other ginger guy but I've been wrong all these years!!!?

🙈

OldAndTubby · 14/09/2022 22:26

I like the guy!

NancyDrooo · 14/09/2022 22:31

I googled: Jennie Bond has written a couple of articles for random newspapers this week. Burrell has been blubbering and saying the Queen was his “surrogate mother”. Puke.

HarrietSchulenberg · 14/09/2022 22:32

I think they're greasing him up in a back room somewhere, getting him ready for the funeral.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 14/09/2022 22:36

How old is he? He looks very tired, I think he should retire.

donquixotedelamancha · 14/09/2022 22:37

Seriously Harry is the image of Prince/ King Charles other then their hair colour

That's a bit harsh. I think Harry is quite handsome.

Cagedbirdsinging · 14/09/2022 22:38

@HarrietSchulenberg ...
ew .
Thats a nasty image!

donquixotedelamancha · 14/09/2022 22:39

He's 70, which really is too old to be doing an demanding job like Royal Correspondent.

At that age you want to be pottering around in your allotment or being head of state, nothing too hard work.

donquixotedelamancha · 14/09/2022 22:41

I'm not surprised the King has no time for him. He keeps making veiled references to the difficult family relationships etc. and seems to like the drama.

Journalists reporting news the Head of State doesn't like, whatever next?

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 14/09/2022 23:14

He's been on nearly every day. What on earth have you been watching?

larkstar · 14/09/2022 23:23

He's been disemboweled and mummified and will accompany Her Majesty into the next life.
