Bit late really as I've already bought the train tickets.... just wanted to lay some flowers, pay my respects and be a part of history..... everyone (apart from my 6 year old🥰😍) thinks I'm being stupid for going because it's going to be super busy..... I'm starting to regret my decision.....AIBU to go?🤔 ....

I'm doing exactly the same thing! So I think it's a great idea ☺️

Mamamia7962 · 09/09/2022 23:43

Yes it will be busy but if you want to go then go!

Feelfreetocallme · 09/09/2022 23:44

I don’t care for any of this palava but I don’t think you’re being stupid. Each to their own.

Coasterfan · 09/09/2022 23:44

I considered this but seeing the queues and how busy it was today on tv we decided against it! We are in the Midlands so a bit of a trip for us! I know exactly what you mean about being part of history, that was my thinking too. DH and my mum almost talked me out of it then DC fell down the stairs at school today and hurt their ankle so I don’t think they would cope with the walking. It will be busy but I totally see why you want to go!

Off to London for work.

Glad it's not cancelled and being fed "force majeure" as a reason for not getting paid.

Hope my route isn't mobbed by people mourning a comple stranger?

Hmm
Mywatchis · 09/09/2022 23:49

Do you have to queue just to wander around the Mall and towards the palace? Don't want to lay flowers but do want to go up

Sorry, you're not making a jot of sense Grin

Mybumlooksbig · 09/09/2022 23:55

I'm up norf and have booked train tickets to go next week. (6 hour journey)
Taking the kids out of school for the day, much to DHs annoyance but I feel a pull to do it...

pagopago · 09/09/2022 23:57

Thinking of going on Monday. Would travel into Victoria Station although presumably it will be rammed in and around.

MinnieMouseclubhouse · 09/09/2022 23:57

Go (just don't take the 6 year old!)

Titsywoo · 10/09/2022 00:06

I was in London tonight (not at Palace) and it was fairly busy in and around Victoria but not crazily so. I'm sure it will be very busy around the Palace tomorrow but if you want to go you should.

Agree with that.

Septemberslooming · 10/09/2022 00:09

I'm travelling from NI to London so certainly don't think you're being unreasonable.

BigBearLittleBear · 10/09/2022 00:16

Of course you’re not being unreasonable. London is always busy.

ScamelaAnderson · 10/09/2022 00:24

Go in at Green Park station. It's a short walk and not to busy. People are being sensible and calm.. go, it's a good vibe

'A good vibe'

Just yuk. I couldn't give a shite about any of it. I'm mostly cringing at our ridiculously people are behaving and the media response etc
But your comment is so distasteful.

crosbystillsandmash · 10/09/2022 00:32

Don't be ridiculous, how is it 'distasteful'?

There is often a good vibe when people come together for any occasion, even if a death is what's uniting them.

Add to that this is a huge historical occasion and people are pulling together to show their respect/affection for our longest reigning monarch and of course it's not distasteful to say there's a good vibe.

JubileeTissues · 10/09/2022 00:38

A good vibe? Confused
