To wash my hair in the morning?

Quick one for you all- some perspective needed here please!

DP says all women he's ever known have washed their hair at night, before bed.

I say no, done in the morning shower as always. In the evening would also mean an extra shower.

For context on my hair wash days it only adds 5 minutes onto my routine. He takes twice as long in the shower every day.

What do you all do? What's the most common thing?

It suits me to wash my hair in the morning so that's when I do it.

Why does your husband even have an opinion on this? And why would he expect you to pay any heed to his opinion? Not his head, not his decision.

I wash mine morning and night, anyone who goes longer than that is right dirty

Morning here. Your dh is clearly wrong. There are many more morningers than there are eveningers.

Evening, usually, but I'm not rigid about it. It needs to be washed now but I'll probably do it tomorrow morning as there's not always time with two kids to put to bed.

I wash my fine longish hair every morning in the shower

Mine takes too long to dry to wash in the morning, I’d have to get up at about 5am to be ready for work. I also much, much prefer to shower or bath before bed not in the morning, because I get much dirtier and sweatier during the day than I do overnight!

Everytime I have a shower. Always morning and evening. Often again at bedtime and again during the day if I've been out, but rarely more than four times a day. Its your hair and your time. Wash it when you want.

It looks better if I do it in the morning, but I do it in the evening as I live in a semi detached house and to do it in the morning would mean putting the hair dryer on at 6.00am and I wouldn't do that to my neighbours.

Could just be his way of manipulating you to do it at night cos it’s more convenient for him

I've started washing mine every other day but in the morning. When I washed it every day if I went out that night I'd wash it again

Whenever I feel like it cos I'm a maverick.

I always wash my hair on a morning because it 'lasts' longer before being washed. The more 'sleeps' I have on my hair, the quicker it gets greasy, so washing it on an evening would be like, wasting a day of it iyswim. I only wash it twice a week atm though, although I'm going back to an office-based job soon so I might have to up this to about 3 times a week. Not sure my hair on the last day before I wash it is really acceptable for a workplace haha even though I do dry shampoo it on that day.

I wash it in the evening every other day. No way would I wash my hair everyday it makes it greasy.

I shower every night too. I do not have time to wash my hair in the morning!

For what its worth, I wash mine once a week-ish in an evening but its very very long and thick. Its still wet when I wake up so finish it off with the hair dryer in the morning. Hate drying it straight after washing as it takes so long!

But I love it when people say 'everyone I know always does X, Y or Z' because you know they're talking crap because half the time they couldn't even make that claim about anyone outside their immediate family.

I plan on wearing it up I wash it at night and put it in plaits so it's got some volume and texture.
If I want it down I'll wash it in the morning!
