Right, these seem nigh on impossible to find these days! I don't want a snuggly softy one I want one I can put on when I get out the bath to get dry I.e made of towel!
How can I find one? Please help :)

Good towel bath robe. Asda and M&S do them.

Gruesome2some · 04/09/2022 10:03

Google Towelling robe, there are loads to choose from.

MarmiteCoriander · 04/09/2022 10:03

I'd like to know too. They are all made from polyester nowadays!

girlmom21 · 04/09/2022 10:03

Google even

raindon · 04/09/2022 10:04

M&s

Mueslikid · 04/09/2022 10:06

La Redoute do them in lots of colours, they are a bit thin though, dc have them.

White Company have nice ones, but they are expensive.

It’s probably easier to find them in the men’s department in high st shops, I got myself a nice white one from Debenhams a few years back.

I know what you mean OP. Of course you can google it... (helpful comment, as always) but I felt the same thing when I last looked for a new one. Searching on websites usually gives you a load of fleece/jersey styles and maybe one towelling one. The last few I bought were from M&S and Debenhams.

chilliesandspices · 04/09/2022 10:12

I got mine from Amazon. It's brilliant.

I said to Google it because I googled it and loads of options came up. She might have just googled a different term.

Exactly. I've googled but it honestly is really hard to find one that is made of actual towel? I feel like I need to go to a real shop just to feel the material. A lot of the ones that say they're towelling are not!

Dunelm always used to do them

DisplayPurposesOnly · 04/09/2022 10:14

Ta-dah!

purplemunkey · 04/09/2022 10:17

Yes, exactly - search 'towelling' doesn't always help as lots of irrelevant results come up anyway. As OP says, often on closer look they aren't towelling at all.

But apologies if those comments were meant as genuinely helpful and not snarky.

h78 · 04/09/2022 10:18

I ordered my mum one from Amazon, she couldn't find on the high street either.

Gruesome2some · 04/09/2022 10:18

i suggested google because OP had said ‘dressing gown’ in her OP. I googled Towelling robe (because I had nothing better to do at that moment!) and literally 100’s of options came up for 100% cotton towelling robes.

FiddleFigs · 04/09/2022 10:21

Try King of Cotton - they do proper cotton towelling robes.

barelyfunctional · 04/09/2022 10:21

‘Bath robe’ might get better google results. I’m sure I’ve seen them in ikea. Mine’s toast but from eBay

SpikyHatePotato · 04/09/2022 10:21

I was in this exact situation, with the added stipulation that I didn't want a white one or pink, but a dark colour.

Also, I try really hard not to buy from Amazon, and I'm a size 18, and wanted a robe with a decent crossover at the front. So it took a lot of googling - searching for "terry towelling" helps, but isn't foolproof.

I ended up with a navy one from King of Cotton. The first one I got, can't remember where from (not K of C), was just a little bit small for me - OP, this is going to sound weird, but if you want an XL navy towelling robe, PM me!

Here you go. All good quality, and some are on sale.

NiceBaps · 04/09/2022 10:23

Polyester is horrible, sticks to you when wet. I got a nice navy one from Lands End.

VaVaVoombangabang · 04/09/2022 10:24

John Lewis Towelling dressing gowns, last for ages.

Sswhinesthebest · 04/09/2022 10:25

I agree. The others look and feel snuggly but they are bloody awful after a shower or bath.
