If anyone reading this that takes recreational drugs should be absolutely ashamed of the carnage that their habit is causing…an innocent 9 year old ,20 year old and 22 year old have lost their lives because of other people shitty pastimes …think think think before you snort or smoke that poison!!

OP posts:
RobertaFirmino · 23/08/2022 23:35

Rubbish. The only people who need to be ashamed are those who have killed. Guns and knives are the cause of this. Nobody was ever stabbed by a blade that wasn't there, nobody ever got shot by a gun that was safely locked away.

HermioneWeasley · 23/08/2022 23:39

YANBU. It’s a direct consequence of demand.

Pilipalapal · 23/08/2022 23:46

You could just as easily blame everyone who supports the criminalization of recreational drugs.

OlderParents · 23/08/2022 23:47

Not with any great accuracy.

crowdedout · 23/08/2022 23:58

I agree with you op. The "recreational" contingent will be out in force to tell you that your wrong though.

EatingWormsMichael · 24/08/2022 00:02

Yanbu. Every ÂŁ spent on drugs helps fund the most evil things in our world, weapons, trafficking and addiction.

Phrenologistsfinger · 24/08/2022 00:04

YANBU, people who buy drugs are funding and fuelling this trade!

EmeraldShamrock1 · 24/08/2022 00:07

It's horrendous.

The poor innocent child.

The level of gang violence is off the scale.

Drug users are a problem, however cuts to public services and crappy prison sentences that are absolutely no deterrent is a big problem too.

Ireland has followed most corner cutting exercises the UK introduced, as a result the streets are lawless while criminals flash their wealth and weapons.

The case of the burglar spice addict who raped a mother and her 14 y.o daughter made me feel sick and consider sleeping with a meat cleaver.

I think that I have to stop reading the news.

TeapotTitties · 24/08/2022 00:10

YABU not to blame the dealers and murderers here.

Instead you're blaming people who often turn to drugs due to woefully inadequate mental health support, poverty, abuse and many other reasons too numerous to mention.

They're not the greedy murdering scumbags who ruin other people's lives, they're the victims who have had their lives ruined by the greedy murdering scumbags.

I suppose you blame women for prostitution too, rather than the pimps?

TeachesOfPeaches · 24/08/2022 00:10

I've watched a few crime shows based on gang crime in Liverpool and it really is horrific.

You can get abducted from the street in broad daylight then taken to a house where you're tortured for several days. They will go after your family, rob your house and use guns.

Paul85 · 24/08/2022 00:13

I cant imagine what the parents of that 9 year old girl are going through.Ive kids that age and im worried sick about them growing up in this fucked up world.

This.

StClare101 · 24/08/2022 00:14

UK is going downhill fast.

antelopevalley · 24/08/2022 00:17

I agree with you OP.
But I do not expect middle-class drug users who have plenty of choices of other ways to relax, to give a damn that their hobby is killing people and making people's lives a misery.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 24/08/2022 00:20

They're not the greedy murdering scumbags who ruin other people's lives, they're the victims who have had their lives ruined by the greedy murdering scumbags.
That's true. Dealers target specific areas knowing bloody well people are easily manipulated.
The amount of cuckoo dealers living with vunerable adults is horrendous they prey on vunerable people.

LampLighter414 · 24/08/2022 00:21

Has it been confirmed it was drugs related?

VyeBrator · 24/08/2022 00:22

This is pretty similar to fat bashing in a strange sort of way.

You're completely ignoring the reasons some people turn to drugs, in the same way some people completely ignore the reasons some people ruin their bodies with too much food.

It often goes waaaay deeper than some pissed up people doing a line of Charlie on a night out.

There are many reasons why some people turn to drug usage and they're way to complicated for you to just tell them to 'simply not do it'.

Blame the dealers who ruin lives out of sheer greed, not their victims.

LampLighter414 · 24/08/2022 00:23

Who are the 20 and 22 year old?

That was 4 doors down from me. I heard a scream but had no idea where it came from so didn't think it was worth phoning the police or anything. I did have a look out of the window but couldn't see anything so just carried on reading. I feel terrible now to know what was actually happening. I'm just glad the judge gave him a decent sentence. Shame he never had one previously for his 40+ burglaries.

If you are talking about addicts I agree.

If you are talking about middle class parents who use mumsnet and like some coke at the end of a dinner party, then I totally disagree.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 24/08/2022 00:50

@Athenajm80 Wow that must have been traumatic for you too once the story came out.
He is a sadistic bastard who unfortunately other sick bastards will take ideas from,

EmeraldShamrock1 · 24/08/2022 00:53

Agreed. Addicts are a victim - recreational users are complicit

Briocche · 24/08/2022 01:00

That poor child has been caught up in the crossfire of some drugs debt/gang feud/revenge situation

I very very much doubt it was a random attack on the house she was living in and like most people suspect the male of the property was the actual target.

These people are feral, dead behind the eyes feral scumbags, fuelled by money from the desperate, the broken and yes the MN tinkly laugh dinner party coke fiends. You’re as bad as the crack heads you cross the road to avoid

Crikey …err no .Overweight people do not get their food from a fat dealer !! They go and buy their food from a shop !!
Any drug user has got their drug from a dealer …which is how this poor child died , no comparison I am afraid…good try though!

You are very wrong on this and need to read the news reports.
