Getting that NQR feeling about a guy but ignoring it?

HarryPotterDucks · 19/08/2022 18:36

I’ve meet a guy. Things are pretty dry at the moment and I’ve built it up to what I want it to be.

When I first meet him there were a few red flags and I’ve had the feeling something is not quite right.

i should go with my gut instead of ignoring it. I’ve got slim pickings at the moment which is why I think I’m still messaging him.

Anyone ever ignore the red flags and it all ended happy after?

The NQT is about his life.

He told me his job he earns more than a surgeon. They must be earning £200k a year?

he also has had a disciplinary at work and I’m pretty sure he did it on purpose but later back tracked and said he didn’t realise.

he’s also trying to act like the martyr such as saying he supported £ his mum during covid but she had a great job and was furloughed?

i should have started AIBU about those separately.

I have a bad feeling about this guy…

FlissyPaps · 19/08/2022 18:43

What is his job?

ChrisTrepidation · 19/08/2022 18:43

Why are you entertaining this guy? I don't understand?

I agree, go with your gut feeling, it's there for a reason!

What is his job?

Works electrical type stuff… can’t be too specific but works for that big company we all get packages from ;)

Your question seems to be: shall I be really foolish and ignore my rational assessment of this man because I’m bored?

Well unless he’s really high up or on the board I doubt he’d be making more than £200K. Do you truly believe he does?

Any inkling or red flags you need to trust your gut. If something seems not right, it’s probably because it isn’t.

Are you really that desperate for a man?

How much do surgeons make?

How much do surgeons make?

It varies.

You said around £200k in your previous post. So do you believe he makes similar to that?

FallopianTubeTrain · 19/08/2022 18:53

An evening class and a vibrator. To see you through the dry spell.

I meant how much do surgeons make… £200k?

I don’t think he would make that much, like I’m sure, I just can’t say for certain. I know I think he doesn’t.

Then tell it to shush, you're listening to your gut as a priority.

Or would you really be foolish enough to consider being tied to someone through a joint child who you know (yes, you do know) is a wrong 'un? And inflict him on said joint child?

Honestly - give your head a fucking wobble.

I want children, I need to have them soon…. No one else is around. I’m not going to let him have sec with me….

He’s a bullshitter which in general is not a desirable quality in a partner and father.

here are payscales for doctors for the first ten years or so post qualification. An experienced nhs consultant who is also slogging in the private sector might be achieving £200k. I fancy your Amazon packer/ conveyor belt engineer is not.

Raise your bar.

oh and children are not a budgie or a chocolate bar...you need a better reason than just because you want them.
