Forgive me mumsnet, for I have sinned...

Lighthearted!

My sin: I went to a Wetherspoons whilst on holiday in England. Not once, but twiceBlush The food was great and I have 3 children with very restricted tastes in food. I'm the same so the menu suited us all. I feel bad about going there knowing the mumsnet consensus on the guy who runs Wetherspoons but it met our needs. I am a Catholic and feel like I need to say a few Hail Marys as a result.

What are your mumsnet sins?

I used a toilet brush today

Blueeyedgirl21 · 13/08/2022 22:35

Cheese and ham toastie chips and a glass of wine for about 5 quid in Spoons. I mean I’m skint at the moment. I’m not going to forgo the opportunity for such a luxurious lunch treat in town for the sake of mumsnet morals. When a local independent naice place stops charging 15 quid for a panini I’ll change my mind. Although when dp is paying we go to the naice places !

my sin is also that I occasionally put headbands on my bald little baby dd. With little bows on. She has lots that match her outfits. They’re not always pink though. She just looks So CUTE with them on.

newbiename · 13/08/2022 22:35

I've left my washing out to be darked on

zeromango · 13/08/2022 22:36

I have grey walls and a grey sofa ... forgive me 🙏🏻

XenoBitch · 13/08/2022 22:37

I like the food in Spoons, but the plates are vile.

My sin is that I wash my bedding a lot less frequently than every 2 weeks. I let my dog in my bed too.

Blueeyedgirl21 · 13/08/2022 22:37

To make up for the hair bows, I’m planning on getting her a Polarn O Pyret snowsuit this winter and then making it last at least ten children. (Not all my own, I’ll pass it down to literal strangers to prove the mumsnetters right)

Iflyaway · 13/08/2022 22:38

I smoke weed.

A sin if ever there was one on Mumsnet.

Luckily, it's all legal here.

Studyafter40 · 13/08/2022 22:38

I'm a cleaner and I use several toilet brushes every day. Not sure how I'm supposed to do my job without them tbh.

Me too....spider Willies!!🕷

Pixiedust878 · 13/08/2022 22:43

I actually really like my MIL.

My washing is outside being darked on.

I do not get a week’s worth of dinners from a single chicken.

I don’t care if the neighbours paint our fence.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 13/08/2022 22:43

I cooked a chicken and it didn't last me an entire week.

Please forgive me.

SomethingOnce · 13/08/2022 22:45

I’m in contravention of the MN two-child policy.

vodkaredbullgirl · 13/08/2022 22:45

Smoke in the house, in front of my kids.

Metalandtea · 13/08/2022 22:46

I’m covered in tattoos… and I let my kids have unlimited screens (well almost unlimited).

Abcdefgh1234 · 13/08/2022 22:47

Whats wrong with weatherspoon? I really dont know anything about it??

my sin. I hate my mil. I really wish she is not stay with us anymore 🥲🥲

pilates · 13/08/2022 22:47

I love Spoons and my children have popular names 😲

Slowandwobbly · 13/08/2022 22:47

I don't like being on show so I have net curtains.

So, I'm a curtain twitcher on occaision too if I need to have a clearer view of what's going on outside. 😉

mattressspring · 13/08/2022 22:49

The Wetherspoons at Camden lock is really nice of you can get a seat outside.

SalmonEile · 13/08/2022 22:51

I snapped but I didn’t fart …I’m sorry

sunsetsandsandybeaches · 13/08/2022 22:52

I've never in my life eaten a "massive salad".

FunnysInLaJardin · 13/08/2022 22:53

I drink bottles and bottles of wine, although at one point in the MN past that was de riguer rather than frowned upon....

vodkaredbullgirl · 13/08/2022 22:54

I filled the dogs paddling pool with a hose.

ANewNameANewDay · 13/08/2022 22:54

Gross to PP who smokes inside around her kids 🤢

I shamelessly enjoy using my parents' hot tub every now and then!

Same, spider willy to deal with tomorrow.

Rogue1001MNer · 13/08/2022 22:55

I regularly leave washing out overnight.
I hate cleaning and avoid it as much and for as long as I can.
I don't have conflict with my friends and sorting the bill in restaurants is never an issue
