Downstairs bog … I’m thinking it needs something on the bare wall but what? It’s a small room so don’t want anything too in your face. I was thinking one of those old fashioned “soap co.” Pictures (usually a picture of a cow in a bath or something!)

DH says it’s fine as it is.

AIBU to think it needs something on the wall?

I think three pictures would be good (have a look on etsy) and another plant. It does need something else but it's almost there.

Aquamarine1029 · 10/08/2022 10:04

Some more plants and a bigger mirror.

Itsmek · 10/08/2022 10:04

Needs some more green... I'd put up a little wooden shelf with three small green plants, maybe in black and white geometric pots?!

DilemmaDelilah · 10/08/2022 10:04

I would put a picture on the wall, but probably something more interesting than something with writing! Failing that, then how about a really narrow shelf with a few bits on. Perhaps a tiny plant, some hand cream, a small sculpture?

Sandysandwich · 10/08/2022 10:04

Could you bring the plant up higher? Maybe on a corner shelf on the top of the wainscotting, so you could see it better and it would bring another level in to break up the wall.

Pinkishpurple · 10/08/2022 10:04

Maybe botanical prints given the colours you have used

hopeishere · 10/08/2022 10:07

A colourful blind or some wallpaper.

PraiseBee · 10/08/2022 10:08

A cloak and a broomstick

Sandysandwich · 10/08/2022 10:09

You room is similar to this etsy print, with the ducks and your hand towel and the colours, if you like the yellow maybe a yellow centred print for that wall and maybe a yellow bath mat?

A hanging plant in the corner next to the window could be nice. Get a plant that will trail down.

DorisWallis · 10/08/2022 10:11

I like it as it is
I’d just put the plant up higher
love those floor tile btw

Louise0701 · 10/08/2022 10:12

Definitely agree it needs something. Could you add a shelf with a plant, candle / diffuser on? The plant needs to be higher, could it replace the ducks on the window sill?
You could add a towel rail above the radiator and add a nice towel in a good colour.

MrsMoastyToasty · 10/08/2022 10:13

A narrow shelf just wide enough for a makeup bag so guests can freshen up their makeup.

Baxdream · 10/08/2022 10:13

In all honesty I think the wall colour is wrong (sorry). It's a really cold grey. I'd switch to more of a griege- f and b skimming stone as an example. I'd then put a couple of large prints in black frames to tie in with the floor.
It's a lovely room!

Stath · 10/08/2022 10:16

Yes to more plants.

Don't go for a wishy washy ‘bathroom’ print on the wall. Get a colourful graphic poster. There are some ace graphic film ones you can get.

MarsupiIami · 10/08/2022 10:16

More toilet roll.

(and move the plant higher)

RudsyFarmer · 10/08/2022 10:17

I like the idea of green too.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 10/08/2022 10:20

Agree with moving plant higher - it looks a bit odd squashed in beside the loo.

In a narrow room you won't be able to step back to really see a pic, so something with bold colours, and placed so that you see the reflection of it in the mirror would work. I don't think non coloured writing would add anything tbh.

Stath · 10/08/2022 10:21

😊

I like The Godfather print (but then it is my favourite movie!)

You can get some lovely yellow concrete plant pots. A string of hearts in a yellow pot on a corner shelf would look lovely.

Yes definitely needs more bog roll 😂

Would love to have a hanging plant beside the window but that air vent is there, would it be ok to put a plant over it?

One wall covered entirely by a mirror and darker paint on the wall.
