Under Paris was ace. I did not have that ending on my bingo card.

And yes, Mika definitely had it coming.

Sand sharks…..ice sharks ….malibu shark attack …sharktopus ….

I recommend Deep Fear on Netflix. Not exactly a “shark film” but a fair amount of shark action.

just back from watching Something in the Water so reporting for my verdict. i enjoyed it - there’s nothing new or ground breaking about it but the characters weren’t particularly annoying and it looks gorgeous. not much shark footage - more just lots of shots of a fin. more of a survival horror film that happens to feature sharks than non stop shark action.

Sounds good, thanks!

A new one! On prime

No way up. A flight goes down and sinks in the ocean. Sharks appear!

It's not too bad

(I also spotted that sequels to 2 headed shark have been made-called 3/4/5 and 6 headed shark! They do look awful.)

Ooh I watched it this afternoon.

I agree, not bad at all.

Prime has understood my preferences and was pushing it as me HARD!

burnoutbabe · 04/08/2024 17:45

It's no 1 movie in uk right now! So it's popular!

We watched No Way Up but I couldn't find this thread at the time! Loved it. Especially as Mrs Hughes from Downton was in it.

GalileoHumpkins · 04/08/2024 20:37

I thought it was terrible, the plot was paper thin and the acting was so shonky. Nowhere near enough shark action either.

RedSuedePump · 04/08/2024 21:11

ooh i’ve been waiting for this one for ages! glad it’s good!

WhackingPhoenix · 19/09/2024 23:13

We’ve just watched The Requin on Amazon...

I want my £6 back because what a load of shit that was 😂😂😂 most shark films are brilliant because they’re terrible…that was just terrible!

Not a shark film, but the best shit film ever.
Rubber. No idea where it's available mind, but it's about a tyre that goes on a killing spree. Yes really.

I rewatched The Shallows the other day, good fun

Binkybix · 22/09/2024 08:28

Had a proud day yesterday when I watched the Meg with my two kids, they adored it and begged to go on to the Meg 2 immediately!

My 10 year old recently asked to watch the Meg films and LOVED them. He keeps asking about Jaws but I'm delaying that for a bit!

Mine watched Jaws when he was 10 and enjoyed it. The 8 year old is lobbying for it, but is maybe too young I think.

Interested on thoughts on how Deep Blue Sea ranks in scariness alongside these two. Itching to watch that one with them.

I watched Deep Blue Sea recently and definitely leaving that for a bit longer. Its quite cartoonish in violence but alot more blood / gore / severed limbs etc

Agreed. They just need to hurry up and get older already!

I rewatched it yesterday, apart from a lot of unnecessary shots of Blake's arse it's quite a good film.
