Could people give me their thoughts on this please. I bought myself a large family sized bar of chocolate yesterday. My son and partner came round today. His partner went into the kitchen to make a call came back in the they both said bye and left. I went to get chocolate later on and it had gone with the wrapper in the bin. My sons partner must have eat it said nothing then left.
Aibu being annoyed x

How long was the partner on the phone for to eat a family sized bar of chocolate?!

henryhoover3 · 29/07/2022 20:59

About 15 minutes! x

That is so rude!

MuffinMcLayLikeABundleOfHay · 29/07/2022 21:00

That's crazy! Why would anyone go into someone's kitchen and eat any size bar of chocolate?

Where was it?

HollowTalk · 29/07/2022 21:00

Have you asked her? She's obviously eaten it, the cheeky bugger.

VerifiedBot2351 · 29/07/2022 21:01

Is there anyone else in the house who might have eaten it?

henryhoover3 · 29/07/2022 21:02

It was in the fridge. I don't want to upset anyone by asking or seem petty.
The would have been welcome to it if they had asked! x

@VerifiedBot2351 no just myself no other visitors x

She doesn't mind upsetting you. I'd ask her to replace it.

chatterbug22 · 29/07/2022 21:04

Really rude. I’d say it was a present and ask politely for them to replace

henryhoover3 · 29/07/2022 21:04

I'm really not sure what to say x

BasiliskStare · 29/07/2022 21:05

I do think ( & I would do this at my DPs) it is just polite if you see something to say - could I have a bit of x / whatever - not just to eat the whole thing. DS lives with us at the moment and there is an unspoken rule you don't finish something without asking if someone else would like some of it

I would count that as rude or just inconsiderate so I would be a little fed up with that.

Gottoomuchgoingon · 29/07/2022 21:07

I'd be fuming if my own kids did this. Cheeky bugger

henryhoover3 · 29/07/2022 21:08

They could have happily had some if they had asked x

OP posts:
thefirstmrsrochester · 29/07/2022 21:08

That’s so greedy.

HollowTalk · 29/07/2022 21:13

I would send my son a message saying Oi, what happened to my chocolate bar? I was just sitting down to eat that and it's all gone.

junebirthdaygirl · 29/07/2022 21:14

Could you message your ds and say..hey! Did you eat my chocolate? Better bring me another one soon. I was looking forward to that.
Hopefully he will say to go...mom thinks l ate her chocolate!!

junebirthdaygirl · 29/07/2022 21:14

Gf not go

henryhoover3 · 29/07/2022 21:15

@HollowTalk I do not think my son would even be aware that his partner had eaten it. My son doesn't even like chocolate x

OP posts:
Veryverycalmnow · 29/07/2022 21:15

Yes, ask your son!

ouch321 · 29/07/2022 21:19

What about anyone else who lives in your house?

If it's just you she must have eaten it which is really kind of rude.

IncompleteSenten · 29/07/2022 21:21

Do you have the sort of relationship where you could make a joke. Oi cheeky bugger, I've just gone in my fridge. You owe me a chocolate bar 🤣

cbatopainttheshed · 29/07/2022 21:21

Have you got a family WhatsApp group? Just post "who's eaten my Friday night chocolate?!! I was looking forward to that!!" And see who sheepishly replies

tootiredforanything · 29/07/2022 21:22

She'll be helping herself to your money next!

henryhoover3 · 29/07/2022 21:22

We don't have that sort of relationship she would really take offence if I said that. I don't want to upset her but it does seem a bit odd x
