Yes there are many people better , even in the Conservative party ..Dominic Grieve , Ken Clarke and Rory Stewart for starters.

Obviously the Tory party in general is a disgrace , so hopefully a GE will be called sooner rather than later and a party that actually cares about the citizens of Great Britain will be in charge.

Personally, I would only vote Conservative if they got behind Larry the cat for PM.

As far asTories go I quite like Rory Stewart and there was an MP on the beeb this morning (Steven Jackson?) who sounded pretty reasonable.

The Tory party want a Brexiteer. Brexit was such an obviously stupid idea that any Brexiteer MPs are on the lower end of the analytical thinking spectrum (or purely in it for their own power grab like Johnson) so the offerings are likely to be fairly slim pickings.

Jeremy Hunt and Tom Tugendhat, some of the possibly more competent candidates, are rules out because they didn't support Brexit.

There are many decent tory MPs but that doesn't qualify them for PM.

Penny Mordaunt would be alright. I think it'll be Rishi.
