To hope Johnson doesn't resign?

LonelyPlanetGirI · 05/07/2022 18:51

Because if he clings on until the next GE, he'll be completely unelectable and we'll be rid of the Tories.

I'm hoping he digs his heels in just like he always has, even though by rights he should be fucking off with his tail between his legs.

I'm watching PM Johnson answer questions. He's been told he's lost 32, his reply was "We'll replace them". I wonder if he knows the Cabinet are waiting.😱

dun dun dun

its sad, this could have been dignified.

mbosnz · 06/07/2022 16:45

As I've said repeatedly I'll happily vote for Labour if they ever present anyone remotely credible.

You've repeatedly said it. Perhaps people don't find your assertion, however many times repeated, in and of itself, remotely credible.

SleeplessInEngland · 06/07/2022 16:45

Schapps is among those about to tell Johnson to resign. He was ‘fully confident’ in the PM a week ago. This is who these people are.

vera99 · 06/07/2022 16:46

In my 61 years on this planet, this farce is better than anything Ray Cooney could have dreamt up. Also a debasement of politics and good governance like no other. Utterly shameful and shameless. He is a cancer that must never be allowed to grow in our body politic ever again.

Hell freezing over means it will happen.

Totally. I’d be shocked and horrified if I wasn’t enjoying it so much.

SueSaid · 06/07/2022 16:49

'its sad, this could have been dignified.'

Oh don't be silly it isn't 'sad' at all. If he goes he goes, he has remained dignified at all times despite the constant pathetic goading from the msm and this juvenile attempt at grilling from the liaison committee.

SueSaid · 06/07/2022 16:50

'He is a cancer that must never be allowed to grow in our body politic ever again.'

Bit dramatic.

He doesn’t look very dignified now. He’s losing his temper like a toddler.

Tough.

My vote will count just as much as yours.

Rash thing to say, unless you know that you both live in exactly similar constituencies. If X lives in a marginal constituency and Y lives in a solid Labour or Conservative constituency, X's vote is a hell of a lot more valuable to each party than Y.

TooBigForMyBoots · 06/07/2022 16:52

34 resignations.😂😂😂

I dunno, I think they left dignity behind several months back.

SleeplessInEngland · 06/07/2022 16:53

Johnson currently excusing Pincher by suggesting he can’t handle his alcohol. Again, he doesn’t care about anything. Such behaviour is not wrong to him, it’s a political annoyance.

TooBigForMyBoots · 06/07/2022 16:53

He's just told Sir Bernard that he is planning to get on with the job.🙈

cjcghana · 06/07/2022 16:54

This afternoon's "show" has been the most entertaining thing I've watched in ages...

35 now....

So these members of the Liaison Committee with many years of reputable public service behind them are just pathetic are they?

Other PM's have managed the Liaison Committee over decades. Infantalising BJ again. He isn't special.

SleeplessInEngland · 06/07/2022 16:54

1922 about to announce rules have been changed and new vote will be on Monday. Not sure why they’d wait that long.

Yep. He does not like being held to account. Playing the victim now, everyone is out to get him, but all he trying to do is be the saviour of the people. Boo fucking hoo.

vera99 · 06/07/2022 16:54

He's a pound shop, Trump, without the fascist armed thugs. Thank God that Britain is not the US and we hate guns. That's one thing we can all agree on here, which is a start. Theresa May has the champers on ice....

AmaryIlis · 06/07/2022 16:56

This IS another round of brexit power play - it’s just been hidden more carefully this time

This crisis is about Pincher. It's about a PM who appointed someone in a very sensitive role who he knew to be guilty of sexual harassment. It's about a PM who then repeatedly lied about that. On top of a long history of being found out lying again and again and again.

How the hell is that a Brexit power play?

Blossomtoes · 06/07/2022 16:56

Wow.

An honest question @JaniieJones , are you really serious? Do you still support him, even now?

TooBigForMyBoots · 06/07/2022 16:57

He is refusing to say he will step aside for a new leader.

Glencanto · 06/07/2022 16:58

Really enjoying how pathetic he looks today.

If there was an opportunity to leave with any dignity intact, he missed it.
