Accidentally created an account via a Google account pop-up.

Use this site to look up odds & ends.

Am I welcome as a dad or would this be inappropriate?

Lots of dads. Welcome.

oneforsorrow1 · 13/06/2022 21:18

Anyone can join the site, there is a dadsnet section although I think you'd be welcome on most sections.

Gazelda · 13/06/2022 21:18

You're welcome. Despite the name, it's a parenting site.

DreamingForYou · 13/06/2022 21:18

Of course you are. However, lots of women hating on men on here. So beware!

Simonjt · 13/06/2022 21:18

Theres quite a few of us

TastelessMiserySand · 13/06/2022 21:19

Very welcome. Always useful to get a dad's insight to things.

Dewix · 13/06/2022 21:20

Oh give over. 🙄

Youll be fine @Dewix as long as you’re not a prat or an MRA.

SailingNotSurfing · 13/06/2022 21:21

As long as you are made of sturdy stuff and don't get offended when someone tells you off for mansplaining, then crack on. There are lots of men who post on here, they don't usually announce they are a man unless it is relevant.

DwightShrutesYFronts · 13/06/2022 21:40

Well you got the hang of that pretty quick! Well done 😂

jaffacakesareepic · 13/06/2022 21:55

Just dont announce all your posts with 'man here', 'just a mans opinion' etc and you'll be fine

Lalosalamanca · 13/06/2022 21:57

What I don't understand is people who aren't parents using this site...

EmeraldShamrock1 · 13/06/2022 21:59

Agree with pp you'll be welcomeas long as you don't feel the need to announce "man here" or mansplain on threads. 😋

Aquamarine1029 · 13/06/2022 22:01

All are welcome. Expect for people who can't stretch one chicken into 6 nights worth of meals for a family of five. We hate those people.

Lalosalamanca · 13/06/2022 21:57

What I don't understand is people who aren't parents using this site...

Why? There's loads of content on here that's nothing to do with parenting.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 13/06/2022 22:06

@Lalosalamanca ·

What I don't understand is people who aren't parents using this site.

Why can't you understand that people without children would be interested in the many thread discussions and debates which have nothing to do with children.

Everyone is welcome.

Your comment is a bit shitty.

Lalosalamanca · 13/06/2022 21:57

What I don't understand is people who aren't parents using this site...

90% of threads are nothing to do with parenting.

people who aren't parents have opinions.

PolkaDotMankini · 13/06/2022 22:09

There are lots of dads on this site. Most of them don't feel the need to create a whole new thread to announce their manly presence though.

HRTQueen · 13/06/2022 22:12

Of course many of the discussions have nothing to do with parenting thankfully as they would get very boring very quickly

Skinnermarink · 13/06/2022 22:13

Why are you seeing validation? It’s a bit odd. Just post if you want to, whatever.

Skinnermarink · 13/06/2022 22:14

Lalosalamanca · 13/06/2022 21:57

What I don't understand is people who aren't parents using this site...

Then you are ridiculous.

Hawkins001 · 13/06/2022 22:40

Lalosalamanca · 13/06/2022 21:57

What I don't understand is people who aren't parents using this site...

By that logic, why are their many threads about non related parenting ?

It's either one or the other ?

Hawkins001 · 13/06/2022 22:42

Besides I discovered mumsnet due to some posters and the infamous penis beaker, that was in the daily mail.

Thedogscollar · 13/06/2022 22:43

Lalosalamanca · 13/06/2022 21:57

What I don't understand is people who aren't parents using this site...

Please explain your post.

There are literally hundreds of posts on here with no mention of children in them.

Cherryblossoms85 · 13/06/2022 22:45

Welcome, hombre.
