just polished off my 6th chicken (non pork) sausage for tea and I was wondering how many could MN eat in one sitting

4 or 5

DeadBod · 21/05/2022 14:49

I would have 3 as a normal serving if part of a meal. If they were laid out in front if me, buffet style, then I reckon I could easily manage 5 or 6.

Curiosity101 · 21/05/2022 14:51

Depends if there's anything with them. I reckon I could do 6 on their own. It'd be a bit of an odd dinner though.

coffeecupsandfairylights · 21/05/2022 14:51

Three.

worraliberty · 21/05/2022 14:51

Normally 2 or 3, depending on how hungry I am.

Greatoutdoors · 21/05/2022 14:52

I’ve had six chicken sausages too. It was quite easily done

SoggyPaper · 21/05/2022 14:53

It depends on … the size of the sausages, what I’m having with them, how hungry I am…

standard sized supermarket own brand sausages with mash and veg, I’d have two. probably.

ClaudineClare · 21/05/2022 14:53

Wasn't there a thread about sausage eating capacity a while ago?

Three, but I eat two and save one for the next day for a cold sausage sandwich. 😋

MayorDusty · 21/05/2022 14:53

I could do 6 with gravy but add in mash or chips, maybe three.
Toad in the hole with no veg or spuds just gravy then four.
as you can probably tell I like sausages.

ElenaSt · 21/05/2022 14:54

2 vegetarian or 2 vegan ones.

TonyBlairsLover · 21/05/2022 14:54

@Greatoutdoors aren’t they great (hehe ur name!) like they taste the same as pork

@ClaudineClare I think so. I thought of the thread hence why I wanted to see a sausage themed update 👀

Wow. This is a first for me. As a slightly overweight person with a hearty appetite, I normally come out on the gluttonous side of this threads but not this time! I can only manage 2 but that's admittedly with sides of course.

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 21/05/2022 14:56

It depends on the size of the sausage, when I go back to my Mum's I go to their butchers and their sausages are twice the size of the ones I normally buy. So, normally 3/4 but sometimes 2/3

Winterfellismyhome · 21/05/2022 14:56

All of them

Throwawaytoday · 21/05/2022 14:56

'could' I eat? Easily 6.

'would' I eat... 2 with lots of sides, 3 with light side dishes, 4 if there's one going free.

Blinkingheckythump · 21/05/2022 14:57

Honestly 2 sausages is a recommended portion I believe but that's what I'd expect a kid to eat. My 5 year old has 2, sometimes 2.

PrawnToast5 · 21/05/2022 14:58

For fun? Like 4.

If it were a competition though..... 😈

LubaLuca · 21/05/2022 15:00

I reckon I could eat about 12-15. I wouldn't want to, but I think that would be as many as I could physically eat.

I had a really good conversation with some strangers recently - what's the biggest thing you could eat 3 of in one go? Obviously I couldn't eat 3 loaves of bread, so something smaller than that. I think I could eat 3 pipes of Pringles.

CandyApplePie · 21/05/2022 15:00

People could only manage to eat 2 or 3? Really 🤣

pinthehammer · 21/05/2022 15:01

I'd usually serve myself 2-3.

If they had no calories I reckon I could put away 10 no trouble.

Daenerys77 · 21/05/2022 15:01

I have been known to eat four (full size, not chipolatas which only count as half a sausage).

Georgeskitchen · 21/05/2022 15:01

If it was the small ones they do in Greggs breakfast roll, about 10 😉😉

Me and DH said pies (like pukka/pieminster pies)

That's not a bad benchmark. My husband reckons he could eat 3 roast chickens 🤨
