Me, I’m struggling to drop off, perhaps because it’s full moon 🌕 but may also be because of the long afternoon nap I had

I fell asleep while putting dc to bed at 8ish. I’m now doomed to be awake until at least 2am. What did women do before MN? Probably read a book or better themselves in some wholesome way but I like reading all this shit instead.

Summerofcontent · 16/05/2022 00:37

I came up to bed early to read my new book and promptly fell asleep 🙄

As a consequence I'm now wide awake while DH snores beside me 😩

Chattycathydoll · 16/05/2022 00:37

I procrastinate sleep because I have awful nightmares and dread them

Simonjt · 16/05/2022 00:37

I have a KIT day tomorrow, I really don’t want to go as it makes going back to work seem more real, and I’m really not ready for it.

RitaFaircloughsWig · 16/05/2022 00:39

I was watching Netflix Anatomy of a Scandal!

MonkeyPuddle · 16/05/2022 00:39

Got in from work at 11:40pm, don’t want to go upstairs as I’m still pissed off with DP about the row we had earlier.

MardyOldGoth · 16/05/2022 00:40

Chronic insomnia. Almost never asleep at this time.

Justkeeppedaling · 16/05/2022 00:41

Thunder and lightening keeping us awake in North Wiltshire

tasha4eva10 · 16/05/2022 00:41

I'm currently pregnant, exhausted earlier I fell asleep at tea time now I can't sleep and have my partner snoring next to me so not likely I will get much tonight

ArtVandalay · 16/05/2022 00:42

I never go to sleep before about 2.

I flipping love the time I get alone when everyone else has gone to bed. Plus, I wake up at 8 and about 6 hours is more than enough for me.

Evilista · 16/05/2022 00:42

Because I need melatonin and so does my kid!

HarrietSchulenberg · 16/05/2022 00:44

Similar to ArtVandalay except my timings are 1 hour earlier all round. This is the only time I get to myself so I cling to it.

Tania64 · 16/05/2022 00:44

I have swallowed 3 types of sleep medication but still wide awake.

Shylo · 16/05/2022 00:45

I’m resigning from my job tomorrow after 30 years at the same company ….. my minds too busy to sleep!

Bloodybridget · 16/05/2022 00:46

I'm not "still" awake, I slept from about 10.30 - 12.00, then woke. Since then, reading AIBU, Chat and Food and recipes topics, and now starting to imagine I'm hungry, and would get back to sleep nicely after some toast and Marmite. I won't give in to this notion, however.

extrapineappleonmypizza · 16/05/2022 00:46

I've just woken up, massively thirsty.
I've got a pint of Ribena.

Raera · 16/05/2022 00:47

We've been out for a lovely evening with friends. Just winding down in bed and scrolling mumsnet

MrsLargeEmbodied · 16/05/2022 00:50

could be the moon
quite hot too
just wide awake!

godmum56 · 16/05/2022 00:52

Thunderstorm here and old dog is terrified. We are binge watching call the midwife.

MrsT84 · 16/05/2022 00:52

Feeding 4 week old. Will be awake most of the night. Stressing over whether she is getting enough from me or if I should start pumping / combi feeding. I did have an hour's sleep on the sofa around 10pm. That should see me through!

Howyoualldoworkme · 16/05/2022 00:53

Thunder and lightning!

MrsLargeEmbodied · 16/05/2022 00:54

oh @Shylo do you have another job?

Feckingfeck · 16/05/2022 00:54

Trying to get a last minute bike that will arrive in time for DSs birthday! 🚲 🎁

Evilista · 16/05/2022 00:54

I've taken my magnesium and some Nytol, had a hot bubble Bath, too stressed to sleep even after that

Lonelydaisy · 16/05/2022 00:55

Anxiety 😅
