To be annoyed that an Insta-mum told DS3 to get out of her photo?

We're on an Easter trail. I get that, for lots of people, it's all about the photos. But seriously, there were A LOT of plastic tat photo oops available. DS3 is busy enjoying "trying to read" a sign, when Insta-mum comes up, kids in tutus, bends down to DS and tells him to get out of shot. Didn't even look around for a parent or whatever! I dutifully removed him, don't worry. Is she a CF, or is it just me not getting with the times??

Very entitled she could have waited for him to finish reading the sign

Aliceforgot · 18/04/2022 14:34

YANBU.

itsgettingweird · 18/04/2022 14:36

If she wanted a turn without anyone else there in a Public place she should have waited for it.

It's so rude to expect kids to stop their fun and move out of your way.

MarshaBradyo · 18/04/2022 14:37

Yanbu she should have waited

I8toys · 18/04/2022 14:40

She's a dick. I would have spoiled every sodding photo.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 18/04/2022 14:41

Who was it?

KittenKong · 18/04/2022 14:41

I’dve plopped myself down right in shot, scratching my belly with one hand and by backside with the other whilst pulling faces.

Can’t be doing with bloody Insta posers (we get them on our doorstep and along/in the street all the time around here). Mostly they are ok (well funny - all standing in the weird stanky leg pose, holding up armfuls of empty shopping bags, or pretending to be papped at they spring down the front steps), some growl at you to wait (when you are trying to put the bin bags out it get to work).

I once watched a mum and her child and nanny - and a handful of other children getting in and out of a taxi, walk to a front door just down from up with birthday balloons and bags, having photos taken (mum directing). I was waiting for a friend on the corner for about 20 mins so saw the whole show. Then they all got back into the taxi and drove off. So a staged birthday party?

Who looks at these staged shots anyway?

ComDummings · 18/04/2022 14:41

I would have told her where to go. So many narcissistic people around these days, fuelled by social media. Everything is about appearance, who cares about reality or other people.

notarevealingname · 18/04/2022 14:42

CF who does that? Very strange. I'd tell DS to finish reading the sign.

Thesearmsofmine · 18/04/2022 14:42

Was it someone well known? She sounds entitled and I would have told her so.

YoComoManzanas · 18/04/2022 14:43

She was rude. You wait your turn. Unless 3yo was there for over half an hour holding up a queue?

girlmom21 · 18/04/2022 14:53

I'd have told him to go back and read the sign and take as long as he wanted, loudly, while looking her dead in the eye.

How entitled.

Marvellousmadness · 18/04/2022 14:56

Why on earth did you not tell her where to go

Easymeasy · 18/04/2022 14:59

Yabu for making your child move and not telling her to piss off.

KittenKong · 18/04/2022 15:01

“Please just wait - he’s reading the sign - just let him finish. It may take a while as he can’t read yet…”

Tittyfilarious81 · 18/04/2022 15:02

She'd have been told to bloody wait til my child had moved on I can't stand these entitled bitches Angry

Georgeskitchen · 18/04/2022 15:02

She's a CF. You should have photo bombed her 🤣🤣

Isitsixoclockalready · 18/04/2022 15:04

Unfortunately social media has given some people an overinflated sense of their own importance.

Moochio · 18/04/2022 15:04

I wouldn't have moved him. Just said he'll be done in a second.

ENoeuf · 18/04/2022 15:05

Was he there for ages? If it’s a busy trail and they want a photo without random kids (or we’d have a ‘couldn’t they ask ds to move instead of taking his photo?’ Thread’) I wouldn’t get excited. Eggcited.

Kurtanforpm · 18/04/2022 15:07

Sad act needs to get that easter engagement.

Seriously, who tells a child to get out of their shot.

Who was it?

Glassesmare · 18/04/2022 15:08

I live near a beautiful beach and we get these Insta mums every summer. They will come to the beach all decked in white, the mum will yell in horror anytime her angel gets remotely wet or sandy, she takes loads of staged photos whilst barking orders at her DCs and then they'll leave! We try to photobomb them now Grin

Chikapu · 18/04/2022 15:08

Why did you remove him? People can only get away with being cheeky fuckers if you let them.

always2tired · 18/04/2022 15:09

How long was your son at the sign trying to read it?

Bootothegoose · 18/04/2022 15:11

Rude bitch. Was she actually an Insta Mum though or just taking pictures of her kids?
