Do we really become less desirable as we get older? Why is this?

Wagsandclaws that sounds like such a good sustainable way to lose weight, a proper lifestyle change rather than a diet that is doomed to failure once it finishes. I'm really pleased it's all worked out so well for you. Onwards and upwards in our uplifting bras!

@Wagsandclaws you look fantastic!

Wagsandclaws · 14/04/2022 11:01

@sjxoxo I'm sure it isn't as bad as you think but as I've learnt it's how you feel about yourself that matters the most.

I had Dd at 20 and the difference between then and having my last ds at nearly 41 was phenomenal - I took nearly 6 months to get over the c section and even longer to finally feel like myself again.

@Scianel yes it is totally sustainable now but it was a real change compared to what got me to 18 stone in the first place - you have to do it gradually I think.

@eglantine7 thank you that's so kind of you to say Smile

After I had my first child. I aged about 10 years in 3 months.

@Wagsandclaws you look amazing.

I like your weight loss journey too.

I have some weight to lose, but can't do diets. I went vegan and teetotal for Lent and have lost 11lbs. The veganism won't stick though (can't wait for Lent to end), but I'll definitely be trying to maintain a lower meat and dairy intake.

I'm 40, but apparently look 35/36. I can only imagine losing some of this weight will maintain that, so here's to hoping Smile.

Mid 40s. I had kids late in life (IVF), had an early menopause, left work and became less active - so any or all of these could have caused it, along with my age. Anyway - over the next ten years everything drooped, sagged and bulged - way more than I would have expected!

It is a bit sad when I look at old photos and my kids can't recognise me - but at least I had my looks when I was young and had a good social life.....Grin. Luckily DH still finds me attractive.....Smile

Aged 26-28 in my opinion. Always looked older but difficult life and ill health has taken it’s toll. No longer wear make up so i don’t help myself

middlingnot · 17/04/2022 15:48

@wagsandclaws

OK, I'm just going to come out and ask! Do you mind saying where you had this work done as it's very good and I don't know the surgeon you're referring to! Maybe you're not allowed to say for some reason so give us some clues Wink

Wagsandclaws · 17/04/2022 16:10

@middlingnot hello yes I absolutely am happy to name him.

He's called Amir Nakhdjevani and his clinic is called Bella Vou in Tunbridge Wells.

I did lots of research on him and was really happy that he does a lot of face and neck lifts as I could see his before and afters ( some are utterly amazing! )

I live in Somerset so there was a wee bit of travelling involved but I was on my way hime within an hour and recovered well at home where I was most comfortable.

I chose him because of that and the fact that I could get it done ( all 3.5 hours of it ) under a local anaesthetic.

@Dweetfidilove thank you that's really nice of you to say Smile
