To ask why he was in the changing room next door?

Met police officer caught filming woman as she undressed in Primark.

Sorry for the DM link, and hopefully I've pasted it right.

Nowhere in the article does it say why he was in the cubicle next door, with free and easy access to slide a phone under the gap and do this.

Are the changing rooms in Primark not spectated by male/female anymore?

But this will never happen, they told us.

babywalker56 · 01/04/2022 21:02

Funny how there’s no pictures of him. I also see he was found to have child abuse material as well as beastility pics. This man is a right sicko. In my local primark too🤢

Not sure what we can do about unisex changing rooms but it just makes no sense. Especially if there’s a gap at the bottom of the doors

FOJN · 01/04/2022 21:05

It'll never happen they said.....

FFS when are women going to matter.

Sorry posted before writing anything.

The infamous it'll never happen thread ^

TheFnozwhowasmirage · 01/04/2022 21:17

It happens because men can do and day what they want. If they say they are a woman,no one is allowed to challenge this.
Interesting that the Primark at Fosse Park, Leicester, did not let men into the women's or children's fitting rooms last time I was there. ( About a year ago). Possibly Leicester having a large Muslim population has influenced this decision.

Jackjack0962 · 01/04/2022 21:21

Because women’s and girl’s rights to single sex spaces no longer matter.

Because the rights of men and their ‘gender identity’ trump women and girl’s safety and privacy.

Found in your local shops, toilets, leisure centre changing rooms, prisons and sports.

TitsInAbsentia · 01/04/2022 21:39

This is the reason while I continue to buy, try and home and then return. Who wants to deal with this kind of shit.

jessieminto · 01/04/2022 21:43

I'm going to make a conscious effort to only buy from shops now that have separate facilities or floor to ceiling walls and doors.

thenightsky · 01/04/2022 21:52

I don't know if the changing rooms were mixed in this case, but they are becoming more common. (This includes changing rooms which are officially mixed, and also those which are separated but where you get to choose which one you feel most comfortable in

I'm thinking I might be more comfortable in the biological males' changing room. More likely to not be pervs.

Spectre8 · 01/04/2022 22:03

This is why people jut order clothes home and do returns. Even if I have to pay for a return delivery its probably no more than the cost to travel to the shop or pay for parking for a few hours.

This way I can try things at home safe and sound.

Utterly utterly sickening. What a vile person

Whatinthelord · 01/04/2022 22:30

It’s ridiculous that changing rooms aren’t single sex if they don’t have properly separated cubicles.

FollowtheLizards · 01/04/2022 22:35

He said they had been downloaded between 2012 and 2014 and added he was 'keen' to seek help for his voyeurism.

So 'keen' that he failed to find appropriate help in a decade and with his Police contacts...ok then...

Hooooo if you think that's terrible you should go look at fwr and see that actual convicted rapists are being put in cells with women in womens prisons.
purpleme12 · 01/04/2022 22:48

I went into Primark a few weeks ago and tried something on
I did notice it was unisex
And also noticed it was actual curtains, not a door that locks etc
And I thought of all the things on here
No I didn't feel comfortable
But I think I would have been ok if it was even a door like in H&M ones
Curtains are so happy

But I can't understand why this happened?!!
Why did they decide to make cubicles with curtains unisex?!! I honestly don't understand!

Beastieboys · 01/04/2022 23:26

We have a female communal changing room at work where we have to strip down to undies to put on uniform... They were going to allow a male who identified as female to use it...... We were told that we just had to get on with it as it was discrimination not to allow it, there were other private areas that could have been offered but were told that you're not allowed to "segregate". One of the girls was told she was being unreasonable because she was happy to get changed next to a lesbian!!

BenCooperisaGod · 01/04/2022 23:39

This is the perfect illustration. When you hear about us bad transphobic women, who have been banished to the MN naughty corner, lest we pollute the rest of the site. We are not transphobic either, we have just been shouting for years that gender ideology is an absolute boon for perverts and predators. We DO NOT say that TW are all predators. We just point out, loudly and repeatedly what risks are in play here. And look, here we go, another fucker taking advantage.

FOJN · 02/04/2022 03:04

That's a lie. There is provision for single SEX spaces under the EA 2010.

One of the girls was told she was being unreasonable because she was happy to get changed next to a lesbian!!

Fucking hell, this is about as lesbophobic as it gets. Did anyone take them to task over it?

What happened about allowing a male in the female changing room?

Mintymilk · 02/04/2022 03:18

Self Id innit, OP. Met police. Why am I not surprised.
It’s every day with that lot - metro.co.uk/2022/04/01/london-met-pcso-kevin-phillips-admits-sex-act-in-london-park-16390168/

All the ones who aren’t sex criminals must be annoyed being lumped in with them and if I was a woman who wanted to be a police officer I’d be moving far away before becoming one. I’m not even going to comment on women who need to report a crime because it’s too much to think about to be honest.

silentpool · 02/04/2022 03:19

This is why I try everything on at home now. This is also why we don't let any of the kids in our family go into public toilets alone. Why are we catering to fetishists over and above the average woman?

UsernameInTheTown · 02/04/2022 08:03

Met Police sex offender?
Letting men in female only spaces resulting in sex offences against women?
Surely not.

toomanytwinkies · 02/04/2022 08:09

My sister was in H&M and while she was changing a man pulled the curtain aside then said ‘sorry was looking for my girlfriend’ Even if he was, which I suspect was a lie, then you’d call a name wouldn’t you, not open a curtain! 😡

Worse still if the females (cunty type) say anything that isnt 100% supportive they run the risk of being arrested for wrongthink.

I am not even kidding.
Have a look for yourselves, plenty of threads to start on.
