AIBU to think these teas are revolting and naff?

A good friend of mine has been waxing lyrical to me about these novelty teas Yorkshire Tea have produced - one apparently tastes like tea and biscuits and one like jam on toast. Is it just me or is there something quite disgusting about tea with these additional sickly flavours? It sounds a bit artificial and grim IMO- I mean if you want to taste a biscuit just have a real biscuit with your tea surely?

Would you ever want one of these, or serve them to someone?

The biscuit one is delicious. Like having a cup of tea with a biscuit without the calories. The jam one is a bit disappointing.

Steelesauce · 31/03/2022 20:16

I love biscuit brew so YABU

Cervinia · 31/03/2022 20:17

I’ve tried them both, vile. I didn’t buy them though, but DD and a friend “generously” offered me a teabag.

Dancingonarainbow · 31/03/2022 20:18

I love them both . As for why not just have a biscuit - the calories lol !

ChatterMonkey · 31/03/2022 20:18

The biscuit brew is now the only tea I buy i love it so much, so if you came to my house for a cuppa thats what you would get!

TheYearOfSmallThings · 31/03/2022 20:18

I keep meaning to try the biscuit one. I love the taste of tea after dunking gingernuts in it, and I'm hoping it will taste like that.

ChatterMonkey · 31/03/2022 20:19

I like sweet tea so its a perfect option for me to have sweetness in my tea without adding sugar to it.

TeaToastJam · 31/03/2022 20:20

Toasty Tea for the Win!

TeaToastJam · 31/03/2022 20:21

I think the word ‘naff’ is horrible and snobby.

titsintiers · 31/03/2022 20:22

The biscuit tea is 👌🏻 it ruins my day if it's not started with a cup of biscuit tea.

Madrenetterhere · 31/03/2022 20:23

Grim. Personally nothing beats x2 standard Yorkshire tea bags brewed in a medium sized mug for approximately 5 minutes then a drop of semi skimmed milk to finish it off. I don't remove the bags nine times out of ten and this for me is the perfect cuppa.

Herani · 31/03/2022 20:24

What? Biscuit flavoured tea? I’m in!

Badtasteflump · 31/03/2022 20:29

Have you actually tried them OP? They're really nice, and really cheap compared to similar flavours you can buy in specialist tea shops. Don't understand why you feel the need to get so upset about teabags 😁

Pushmepullyou · 31/03/2022 20:29

The jam one is lovely!

Onedaylikethi5 · 31/03/2022 20:31

And the bedtime one is incredible. YAB highly U

DanielRicciardosSmile · 31/03/2022 20:32

DM likes the biscuit one. I don't like tea myself so wouldn't drink it. If you don't like the idea of it I'd recommend giving it a miss, but life is really too short to worry about other people's tea preferences.

Sidisawetlettuce · 31/03/2022 20:34

I love the biscuit flavour and the toast and jam is really nice as well. My favourite is the Bedtime tea 😋

SirenSays · 31/03/2022 20:35

They sound vile but then I have the biggest pot of flavoured teas because I just can't stand them. Its always a good day when I can give them to guests.

I love the biscuit one! I rarely drink any other sort of tea any more. Not as keen on the jam one but it's ok.

Namechangenumber23 · 31/03/2022 20:37

I'm sat with a biscuit brew right now having had a pot of the jam and toast when I got in from work. I'll be doing a bedtime brew in about an hour.
I LOVE them all. Big fan of Yorkshire tea in this house.
BUT I don't think yabu. Either you like them or you don't and I get why some wouldn't be keen/ put off.

Friedaseyebrow · 31/03/2022 20:39

I like the bedtime tea and the tea and biscuit flavoured tea. Don't fancy the jam one but don't find the idea naff in any way.

FleeceNavidadfromtheSheep · 31/03/2022 20:40

What does bedtime taste of?
Not tried any - intrigued.

PlinkPlankPlunk · 31/03/2022 20:42

I’m quite intrigued! I normally drink Yorkshire Gold but might try one of these. What is the bedtime one - is it decaffeinated?

SiobhanSharpe · 31/03/2022 20:42

Are these teas, the biscuit one and the toast and jam one sweetened?
If so, what with?
(I don't like sweet tea so would probably give them a swerve but just thought I'd ask)
