Just as the title says.

Noah Donohoe disappeared coming home from school, his body was found in a storm drain without his clothes.

His mother can not get answers on why the police decided, immediately that there was no four play and us being blocked from seeing 4 files by the police.

She says On the day Noah was found, before Noah was formally identified, the Police did a media release stating that there was ‘No Foul Play’ involved.I ask, if the police are so sure that ‘No Foul Play’ was involved, why are the police now trying to stop me, as Noah’s mummy, getting four files of information on Noah’s investigation?

Surely I am not unreasonable to think this isn't ok and that most of use would want to know what had happened to our child?

This is an overview of what has happened so far.

@Lndnmummy

Many many many times people post on AIBU for traffic. It happens several times a day. This would have been the intent of the OP. To help Fiona get the signatures she needs. Yet, to some, it HAS to be debated. Knit picked and fault found. The post I posted the other day with another missing black child was derailed to the point it had to be taken down. How can a post by a missing and dead child be devisive? How?! Please tell me. I know the answer. But if you don't I'd urge you to think long and amd hard about how priviliged you are. That, heaven forbid, should YOUR child disappear all hell would break lose. Press conference, volunteers looking, rewards. High police presence. What you can take for granted. Yet when black and mixed raced CHILDREN go missing the response is different. Its a reality most of you don't have to understand. It isnt your reality. But it is Noahs, Fiona's, and the rest of all the children that go missing.
Thank you @Lndnmummy . Your post really sums it up. Its been a minority, but I am disappointed so many people do think this shouldn't be brought attention to or are annoyed by this thread.

Not entirely surprised but disappointed. Heart breaking that they can look at Noahs picture and read Fionas words and still object. And I have to say I am still not clear on what objections any of them have. Despite them actively trying to get the thread deleted.

For those on Twitter, you could follow Noah's mummy Fiona Donohoe @FIONADONOHOE2 and Noah's auntie, Fiona's sister Niamh Donohoe @NiamhDonohoe78.

The Noah Donohoe Foundation was set up in his memory last year by his mummy, to support children and young people from all communities across NI in as many diverse ways as possible. I won't post a link because I think that's what led to a deletion on another thread.

Noah wanted to be a doctor.

He didn't get to sit his GCSEs.

Trying to get signatures sometimes feels like pulling teeth.

I had to chase up people to make sure they signed the petition, it was frustrating.

A DM struggling and 1 minute of a strangers time gives the petition the strength to succeed.

I know one friend didn't she brushed me off a few times when I asked. Angry

My cousins are local to Fiona and there active campaigning helped me stay informed and spread the word.

It wasn't easy without the media on side.

I couldn't believe some people had to be badgered to sign it and then didn't because they couldn't be arsed.

The majority were very helpful, shocked and signed no problems.

*They're

Yiayoula · 04/04/2022 19:07

It’s hard for me to understand why anyone wouldn’t want to sign.
Noah was 14 years old .
Heartbreaking.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 04/04/2022 19:22

It’s hard for me to understand why anyone wouldn’t want to sign.
I genuinely think people are in their own bubble, they'll listen, sympathise and forget about it as they walk off.
No-one thinks it'll happen to them.
If everyone who is aware of Noah's petition signed, it'd be over 2 million at least.
I wonder how many clicked the thread and didn't follow up with a signature?
I don't understand the mentality either as it could happen to anyone.

Cultureclub · 04/04/2022 19:36

The inquest has been very slow and is obviously needed to bring some sort of closure to Fiona's pain.Apparently there's lengthy delays with inquests due to covid, it must really add to the pain.

Turningpurple · 04/04/2022 19:49

I think alot of people want to put it out of their heads. Pretend this story doesn't exist. Or 'there must be more to it'.

I don't think they want to believe this could happen.

Plus what pp said above, about them putting it out of their heads.

Cultureclub · 04/04/2022 19:56

There's basic legal requirements such as an inquest which the state has to provide and that can't be avoided.

I mean about forgetting it and moving on to the next thing.

Signed and shared. Justice for Noah!

CatChant · 04/04/2022 21:19

Please sign the petition.

Spare a moment to help Fiona Donohoe find the truth about what happened to her beloved boy.

That smile must have been like the sun coming out. It is heartbreaking to think he is gone.

Justice for Noah.
