Just as the title says.

Noah Donohoe disappeared coming home from school, his body was found in a storm drain without his clothes.

His mother can not get answers on why the police decided, immediately that there was no four play and us being blocked from seeing 4 files by the police.

She says On the day Noah was found, before Noah was formally identified, the Police did a media release stating that there was ‘No Foul Play’ involved.I ask, if the police are so sure that ‘No Foul Play’ was involved, why are the police now trying to stop me, as Noah’s mummy, getting four files of information on Noah’s investigation?

Surely I am not unreasonable to think this isn't ok and that most of use would want to know what had happened to our child?

This is an overview of what has happened so far.

Noah was the first thing I thought of this morning after watching the interview last night with Fiona. I am originally from NI, lived about five minutes away from the part of the storm drain that he was located in. But I have been away for a quarter of a century and didn't know, for example, that this interface where Noah was assaulted first, apparently, is now a area of redevelopment (for student housing, God help them); to the tune of 17 million?
The last thing you would want then, bearing in mind overseas investment, would be any sort of adverse publicity. Or any awareness of just what the reality of this area actually is?

@ihearttc - I feel very uncomfortable with that sort of speculation being added to the thread, I think it is potentially damaging and would ask you to consider getting MNHQ to withdraw your posts please?

@EmeraldShamrock1 - Thank you for responding to try to debunk those. If those posts are removed by MNHQ, then please would you consider withdrawing your replies too, as they include quotes?

Many thanks.

@TheRealMrsMac Of course. Flowers

@ihearttc After you watch the interview you'll have a better understanding and might consider removing the post.

TheRealMrsMac · 03/04/2022 10:35

Idle and ill-informed speculation like that is unhelpful and hurtful @ihearttc

Thank you, @EmeraldShamrock1 Flowers

Perhaps this thread needs to make it quite clear that the main intent seems to be purely about driving people towards the online petition.I went back to the op's opening thread and I'm struck by the fact that it's incorrect re the timing of the incident and that's really quite an error
Reddit has some excellent threads on Noah if you ignore the sectarian nonsense.
An election is looming in Northern Ireland and people need to be very careful not to get caught up in erroneous sectarian allegations, unfortunately there are votes in these sort of issues.
This post is encouraging discussion about the reasons for the death then cutting posters down when they do theorise. It needs to be clearer about it's aims.

pinkhousesarebest · 03/04/2022 11:04

iheartttc from what I unerstood, Noah had no contact with his dad, he was irrelevant to the life that he led with his mum.

The catalyst for this tragedy lies much closer to home sadly.

I agree with you.
Maybe OP could request an edit or title edit.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 03/04/2022 11:22

@iheartttc Pp's are worried some comments will impact the case.
I waded into it myself upthread with my opinion but had my post deleted. Flowers

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 03/04/2022 11:23

Perhaps OP could request MNHQ to edit her original post so that the error re timing can be corrected? Apart from that one mistake I think everything else has been accurate so far.

It was to bring attention to it all actually. Not just the petition. I know because it's my thread.

And yes, I apologised several times for the mention of school.

I haven't encouraged speculation about his death. There's been some talk of it, but I haven't invited anyone to do so.

Then some posters came along, trying to get the thread deleted for discussing it at all. So I have tried to stay away from speculating about the case and just talking about the context in which this is occurring

If posters didnt come along trying to have it deleted because not do they feel it's acceptable that this happens 'cause Northern Ireland', they feel any mention of Noah has be hidden. They actively don't want people to know about it.

It doesn't need a title change. Because that is my question.

I haven't asked to change the Op because then people's comments and my apologies will not make sense.

Oh and if MN thought the intention was just the petition they will move the board where you struggle to reach anyone.

So can you please not start telling me what the intention of my thread is, especially, when it's could end up with it being moved.

Neongoddess · 03/04/2022 11:34

Oh and yes, both names are me. But the 2nd one will now be lost because its not green.

Apologies....again.

Ownedbymycats · 03/04/2022 11:40

In recent posts the emphasis has entirely been about the petition, to the extent that update posts were being given and other posters were encouraged to delete their posts. The level of censureship by other posters within the thread has been very unusual.
There's been no inquest and I'd suggest posters tread carefully.

Because most discussions were being met with people trying to take it down. I assume posters, who are nor me are trying to discuss it, without getting to a place where it will be deleted.

So which do you prefer? Talking about it or not? Talking about the petition or not?

Because you seem to be complaining about both. It's very unclear.

Ownedbymycats · 03/04/2022 12:11

As the death is still subject to inquest I'm not prepared to discuss this thread anymore as I think it's highly dangerous and I'm not reading any more posts.

ihearttc · 03/04/2022 12:22

Then why start it in the first place? You post in AIBU then don’t want anyone to even post?

If the sole purpose of your post was to get people to sign the petition (which I have done) then why not just say that.

Where have I said that people shouldn't post?

You said that you aren’t prepared to discuss the thread implying that people are discussing stuff you don’t think should be discussed. And some of the other posters are requesting we delete posts.

No I didn't.

@Ownedbymycats said that.

And I am not other posters. So again, Where did I tell people not to post?
