AIBU to let the cleaners go after accidentally leaving out a sex toy?

Came home and caught a glimpse of it on the floor. It was half poking out under the bed. The cleaners have obviously vacuumed the room. Don't think there's anyway they won't have noticed it... I'm never going to be able to be in the same house as them again. So I'm going to have to call it quits aren't it?

Eek i would feel the same OP but I am sure they have seen worse.. not like they walked in on you using the toy! I'm sure plenty of cleaners and window cleaners will be along to make you feel better!

I'm a cleaner, I've seen worse. Not bothered at all as long as I'm paid. Don't sack someone for something they haven't done, that's not fair.

Poor souls. They didn’t do anything wrong, but they’re facing a sack. Fire them if that will make you feel better. It probably won’t make them feel better, but hey ho. As former cleaner I can assure you I’ve seen fair bit of sex toys , lads magazines and used condoms.

I'm a cleaner and this wouldn't bother me. I would have just vacuumed around it. I'd rather see a dildo than a weeks worth of skid marks.

I thought I had. It must have fallen between the mattress and the base of the bed frame onto the floor... I'll be more careful in the future.

In all honesty I was being lighthearted, I promise I'm not going to sack them! It's my husband that works from home at the end of the day I'll just make sure I'm never ever around!

I used to clean for a couple that would regularly leave used condoms (obviously still full of sperm) on top of their bedroom bin that had no lid.

It would be pretty shitty to let the cleaners go because of something you did, so YABU

Loads of people have sex toys. My mum found mine once when I was in hospital and she went through my drawers looking for clothes to bring me. I could tell because she had hidden it. Embarrassing, but I'm a grown woman and nothing I could do about it. That's worse than the cleaner seeing it, I think.
