I'm just speechless at what he's doing, poor innocent people are dieing and getting hurt because of him trying to take over another country for no bloody reason??? Why can't the world come together and stop this!!!!
I can't stop watching and reading in horror. Iv now just seen an 18m old die on the news tonight.
What is happening in 2022??? Surely the world shouldn't be going through this now???

Unfortunately it's not that easy to get to him. Stauffenberg tried and failed to kill Hitler.

But I'm sure that's everyone's aim at the moment.

HalfwomanHalfcookie · 05/03/2022 22:07

There will be plenty of people willing to do it, it's getting the chance that's the problem. This man needs ending...fucking lunatic.

youhadmeatjello · 05/03/2022 22:08

The thing is then what? There will be someone with similar views just waiting to replace him - I know we like to think that his inner circle won’t like what’s going on but he will have surrounded himself with yes men.

ShaneTwane · 05/03/2022 22:09

It's not easy to even get close to him. He will have secret police everywhere protecting him who are all brainwashed. No one is allowed within 30 feet of him. He is hiding away even other Kremlin politicians can't get to him.

Goonergirl14 · 05/03/2022 22:09

Totalling agree but who is going to do it, he will have some amount of protection around him. I am hoping he ends himself..things are not going quite the way he thought..one can only hope..

bellac11 · 05/03/2022 22:10

Someone will do it for enough money and enough reassurance that they will survive it themselves.

Its the only way out for him really anyway, hes got nothing to lose in terms of the war.

Lockheart · 05/03/2022 22:11

Someone call MI6, a random poster on MN knows better than all the world's intelligence agencies put together.

ParalysisByAnalysis · 05/03/2022 22:12

That footage on ITV was the worst I think I’ve seen. To be honest I don’t think they should be showing that stuff. Not without a clear warning anyway.

I felt the same about the dying six year old on the front page of the papers.

I totally get why they’re showing us. I really do. But…is there not a limit? It’s so very distressing.

Doingtheboxerbeat · 05/03/2022 22:13

He can't be long for this world surely? He seems on a self destruct mission, taking us all down with him.

TotalRhubarb · 05/03/2022 22:15

I’ve been wondering if the oligarchs will get together and tell him he has to go, or have an ‘accident’. Not suggesting they’ll care about the Ukrainian people. But he’s costing them billions.

Doratheexploret · 05/03/2022 22:15

I just watched the parents in the news kissing their dead baby. The mum’s cry just about broke me, I really hope he someday feels that amount of pain.

Not funny

Offer one of his secret policemen several billion dollars, a luxury yacht and a box of crispy creme doughnuts. Job's a good 'un 😃

I think its less about them being yes men and more about them being genuinely in agreement with his strategy/politics, the only reason they would want him out the way is to take over themselves
Darbs76 · 05/03/2022 22:19

So upsetting that poor baby. The man’s a psycho and he won’t stop until he gets what he wants

Yebbie · 05/03/2022 22:19

No one willing to kill him can get near him in his cushty nuclear bunker in the mountains.

lightand · 05/03/2022 22:22

There will always be wars and rumours of wars.

I'd do it just for the doughnuts.

Alas...

welcometothechaos · 05/03/2022 22:23

It's honestly heart breaking
I do think it should of come with a warning tonight as it was so distressing but the world needs to see what absolute evil horrible waste of sperm we are dealing with. He doesn't care who gets hurt just about his ego an what he portrays to people - even though the soft bast*%# doesn't do nothing unlike the Ukrainian president who is fighting with his country whilst people are trying to assassinate him for that moron

I wish China would do something as unless someone can put a bullet in Putin China is the only country with any real sway over Russia and Putin as they are the largest buyers of their oil.
But on a side issue I would like to shake the hands of the dock worker at Birkenhead who have refused to unload or dock the German cargo ship full of Russian oil which was bound for Stanlow oil refinery and as my own personal protest in support of blocking Russian oil imports I won’t be using any shell garages until they stop buying Russian oil.
I can’t help the people of the Ukraine but I can boycott their main export.

The situation with the oligarchs is quite interesting, the big narrative that surrounds Putin is that he re vamped Russia, got rid of corruption, is an honest man of the people (ringing any bells with people in the UK?!), he was going to rid the elites of their ill gotten gains, was aiming for the oligarchs to lose their power and make sure they didnt make money on the back of the Russian people etc etc etc But of course he is/was also one of them too, he is propped up by some of the Oligarchs, he controls them but equally they gave him power, its a facade that has been sold to the Russian people. Its an odd set up in some ways but one which has a lot in common with our political elite, lots of games being played.
Justkeeppedaling · 05/03/2022 22:25

Someone will, eventually. But for a foreign state, not at war with Russia, to kill him is against the law.

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 05/03/2022 22:27

Next time he orders takeout, they need to sprinkle a few anthrax spores over it.

His cleaning lady could wipe some polonium onto his toilet seat and barbecue his balls 😘

Lucinda7 · 05/03/2022 22:33

I said to DH the other night I wonder whether the SAS might be sent in. He said they couldn't. On my phone news the next day it said SAS boots are on the ground. I take this to mean they are there.

Completely agree with this. The situation in Ukraine is horrifying, but I don’t think getting rid of Putin will help much (and also don’t think it would be easy to do, as PP have also mentioned!)
