What the title says.

This will be the one where he resigns, so if please keep the whatabout to a minimum.

Nadine? Not again.

Tealightsandd · 04/02/2022 22:39

@TokyoSushi

Yes agree *@Notonthestairs* now it's gone to a police investigation, folk do seem to be rather more keen to get as far away from Johnson as possible.
But wasn't it the ones leaving - the staff - who were at/held these parties?

If the police are investigating Boris, shouldn't they also be investigating these people too?

Also, not a squirrel but genuine concern as a Londoner....I do very much hope that the cash strapped Met police have enough officers left to investigate the many violent crimes happening in London. Perhaps it would be an idea if other forces lent a few spare men and women to help out on the Downing Street piss ups. Only fair.

Anyway back to Boris and the Brady gang.

Wait, what? 🤪

@Blossomtoes

They’re sending Dorries out again after her performance earlier this week? Is Peter Bone busy?
They'd do better sending out Michael Fabricant's wig...

Let's hope he is gone soon , but who knows?

BewareTheLibrarians · 04/02/2022 22:49

@DuncinToffee oh dear lord, I’d missed that! Wikipedia?? Did no one responsible for the report proofread it or wonder if it might come across as slightly batpoop?

thecatfromjapan · 04/02/2022 22:49

Oh my word.

Richard Bacon has gone out to bat for Johnson on Newsnight and it.is.carnage.

Something about all this being a drip, drip, drip of a feast leaking.

Not the best of images.

A sort of stream of conscious thing about vaccine roll out and towering Johnson - but disturbing images of a decaying, oozing corpse in the background.

Not sure this helps secure the image of Johnson in charge and loved by everyone at all.

Copperas · 04/02/2022 22:51

Bit concerned about his general health after that torrent of nonsense

thecatfromjapan · 04/02/2022 22:57

@Copperas

Bit concerned about his general health after that torrent of nonsense
It really was.

I think that spoke volumes.

The Z-list are being sent out to support Johnson.
@Derxa
Probably but do you care about his experience? Genuinely? Bereavement is a lonely process. Once the funeral is over no one really wants to know

Yes i do care.... when i lost my partner, very very few people wanted to know, it was very hurtful but i have come to realise that it was because they didn't know what to say or do, so they avoided the situation... the ones that didn't are life long friends.

I don't know the man so obvioulsy i am not upset in the traditional sense but both he and Ruth Davison have changed my view of Tories (or some tories) as have you.
My partner died suddenly, 15 months ago, just as the second lockdown was starting.

It was awful. Friends and colleagues called round with cards and flowers, but couldn't come in. I remember sitting on the doorstep crying, while my friend stood a few yards down the drive, also crying.

Bell's words really resonated with me.

longwayoff · 04/02/2022 23:07

Lord Ashcroft has written a biography of Carrie. Summarised in the Mail (apologies, saw it and couldn't let it pass by). Apparently, and this will surprise you all, everything is all her fault and he is but a puppet in her hands. What a shock. Women eh? The downfall of so many men, poor things. Who'd have thought it?

longwayoff · 04/02/2022 23:13

I'm sorry to read that lakielady and to have posted something so apparently trivial straight afterwards. It's an awful thing to try to cope with alone, I hope you're coming to terms with your loss.

DuncinToffee · 04/02/2022 23:19

That must have been so hard LakieLady Flowers

Notonthestairs · 04/02/2022 23:32

I'm so sorry @LakieLady

Notonthestairs · 04/02/2022 23:43

Whatever happens in the future nobody should ever be left to grieve alone.

LakieLady · 04/02/2022 23:49

No apology necessary, @longwayoff, and thank you for your kind words, @DuncinToffee and @Notonthestairs. It's getting easier to bear now, but it's been a long haul.

Grawlix · 04/02/2022 23:58

I’m so sorry, LakieLady Flowers

I had a bereavement in 2020 too. All of that period undoubtedly counts as the worst time of my life. Everything that’s been happening with Johnson and his bunch of lowlifes has brought it all back, multiple times, every day. My deepest sympathies to you.

Blossomtoes · 05/02/2022 00:22

I remember that @LakieLady, we exchanged messages (I’ve changed my user name since). It was absolutely awful for you. This must be rubbing salt in the wound. 💐

DePfeffoff · 05/02/2022 00:58
Johnson has sent an email vowing too give MPs a direct line to DS

All over the country people are eagerly working out how to hack into that line. Just think of the sheer pleasure of being able to phone the idiot and tell him exactly what you thought of him.

the80sweregreat · 05/02/2022 04:59

If Rishi Sunak was at one of these parties and if he ends up resigning , what happens then?
I know it's unlikely yet, but photos are around of him at one of the dos and there are calls for him to be sacked for not supporting Boris Johnson.
( daily mail today )

merrymouse · 05/02/2022 06:18

The Mirror report says Sunak wasn’t invited to the party and had gone to the cabinet office for a work meeting.

twinklystar23 · 05/02/2022 06:55

Aargh it's like a cliffhanger get two more have submitted letters its thought to around 40
