24 year age gap between Boris & Carrie

That is a HUGE HUGE age gap.
The pictures of their wedding day are nothing short of disturbing. She genuinely looks like his daughter.
How can she be attracted to him? What do they have in common?
AIBU to think this is generally accepted when it’s actually really weird?

@MisAnn

He's too old to still be reproducing. If women were popping out babies at his age with younger men society would have plenty to say about it.
Not least because it would be a miracle.
5128gap · 03/02/2022 15:00

The woman is married to Boris Johnson. Your concern is the age gap?

DrManhattan · 03/02/2022 15:12

Bin bag full of custard. That is too funny.

MillaRennt · 03/02/2022 15:14

Who cares. She's the one who has to live with that horrible gremlin, not you. YABU.

RobertaFirmino · 03/02/2022 15:18

Carrie is very fond of primates and has campaigned to put a stop to monkey labour. It stands to reason that she'd marry the biggest baboon this country has ever seen.

dottiedodah · 03/02/2022 15:20

Many marriages have a large age gap .they are hardly unique. Carrie is an intelligent young woman.not a naive immature girl! They obv get on well.its the classic older man younger woman scenario.less concerned with his personal life than how he runs the country!

Wiseupkid · 03/02/2022 15:54

I don’t think it was an Abba party but a song Carrie played with drinks in the flat at full volume as Dominic Cummings was packing up and leaving - I believe she was playing ‘the winner takes it all’
And they wonder why Cummings has turned into a henchman and has made it his life’s work to bring them down.
The choice of song tells us she knows what she is doing, but politics is ugly and an downfall inevitable.
Pretty sure there will be more mud slinging to come from Dons treasure trove.

I imagine with so much experience maybe Boris is actually rather brilliant in bed grin]

😂😂😂😂

Andrew Marr is in accord ... described B as an 'albino gorilla' 🙈😅

@Wiseupkid

Most people do not have to contend with the level of hate from the public arena alexa most people heating their homes are usually safe from stalkers/haters/activists. Money as a minimum can provide security and Boris is a target and by extension so is Carrie. So I disagree that other people have it 'harder' I think Carrie has a very difficult life being in the centre of the shit storm that has been created around them. I hope she is thinking through just how this is likely, very likely to end.
Are you being serious?

God help this country if this is the attitude people have. People are using food banks in record numbers, kids are relying on school breakfast clubs to fill their bellies in the morning, living costs are through the roof. I have read several articles recently on bed poverty. We’re one of the richest countries in the world and there are kids who haven’t even got a bed to sleep in.

The idea that Carrie and Boris have a hard life compared to people living in Victorian levels of squalor is ludicrous.

This is surely the most corrupt government this country has ever had, the degree to which they have wasted public money and lined the pockets of their friends, families and Tory donors is staggering. The media have barely held them to account, I haven’t seen any hate apart from a few people venting on forums and Twitter. Carrie is not innocent in any of this, she’s right in the thick of it.

Grantanow · 03/02/2022 17:56

It's none of anyone else's business than theirs. Are people worried about the age gap in Macron's marriage? Don't waste time.

Languishingonthesidelines · 03/02/2022 18:09

@PaddleBoardingMomma your opinions about Angela Rayner were pretty nasty. Tad hypocritucal I think.

Wiseupkid · 03/02/2022 18:32

What a massive exaggeration. No one in this country is living in Victorian squalor. Dramatic and historically inaccurate.

I think you’ll find they are. Although of course little boys are no longer sent up chimneys.
AlexaShutUp · 03/02/2022 18:36

A lot of people aren't that far off living in Victorian squalor tbh. Maybe not quite, but closer than you might think.

Do you have any insight into what it is like to be poor in Britain in 2022, @Wiseupkid?

(Hint: it isn't the same as only having £1.4million and not being able to afford a 2-bed house in London)

CuntyMcBollocks · 03/02/2022 18:37

I thought this was supposed to be about an age gap - not how anyone could find Boris Johnson attractive.

Wiseupkid · 03/02/2022 18:41

And we have an NHS service entirely free of charge
Free dental care for those that are on benefits
A benefit system entirely free of charge
Free housing, prescriptions etc for those struggling
Free education
Free police protection, fire service and social services to protect the vulnerable
A whole raft of labour and health and safety laws that did not exist
Free school meals for children
Libraries that are free to use

You simply do not appreciate or understand your huge privilege blossom Both complacent AND entitled, the state has become so bloated since the Victorian times and is by no means even a comparison. NONE of this was available in 'Victorian' Britain, you basically died if you could not afford a doctor or medication and relied on meagre hands outs from the church if you were lucky! Many of our kids would have died and your life would be very short, hard and brutal.

But you keep thinking it was better then! Jesus wept.

SwedishEdith · 03/02/2022 18:43

Urgh, I just imagine he humps away. No agility.

It's definitely a weird marriage. She a Comms person, her ex is reporting on stories about the pair, she's the result of her dad having an affair and she has no relationship with him (apparently) so the attraction to a much older man (and, of course, it's a huge gap) is, on paper, understandable. But I also wonder if she's using him for her own political/future financial gain. She may have sights on a career in politics herself.

Wiseupkid · 03/02/2022 18:51

I can imagine him being very, err, enthusiastic swedish what he lacks in agility he may make up for with 'ability'....Grin

HelloFrostyMorning · 03/02/2022 18:51

Who cares? Confused

Sparklingbrook · 03/02/2022 18:58

I think we need a reminder of what we need to be outraged about.

Nobody has said that it was better then.

The welfare state has done a great deal to alleviate poverty. Sadly, we have started to slide backwards in recent years, and vulnerable people are again having to fall back on charity because they cannot rely on the state to meet their basic needs. The fact that you don't seem to be aware of how the poorest in our society are living doesn't mean that it isn't happening.

And frankly, I'm pissing myself laughing at the idea of someone lecturing others on their privilege when a few posts back, you were claiming that Boris was "penniless" and "very hard up" because his £1.4million wouldn't be enough to buy a 2 bedroom house in London. The irony!!!!Grin

Wiseupkid · 03/02/2022 19:08

The post was for blossom and Dark whom both said we live in Victorian levels of poverty and squalor which is clearly entirely inaccurate. The post was not for you alexa

Wiseupkid · 03/02/2022 19:09

I am pissing myself laughing at the idea Boris is RICH, but there we go, have you forgotten just how many children he is supporting??

Frazzled50yrold · 03/02/2022 19:09

I've a male friend 24 yrs older than me and if I'd met him when I was younger would have had no hesitation in having a relationship with him.
