Not to change the sheets??

Mooghulempress · 25/01/2022 16:29

Next week my parents are coming to stay for a night, so I’ve just cleaned the guest room sheets and made the bed fresh for them. Two days later, we are having a dinner party and a friend has just asked if she and her partner can stay over. AIBU to think that it’s OK not to change the sheets?? It just seems insane to change the sheets after one use, and both my parents shower before bed. But part of me also thinks this isn’t OK. Advice please!

YABU!

MsAgnesDiPesto · 25/01/2022 16:30

I wouldn’t let different people sleep in the same sheets, no.

Imagine if hotels thought the same way…

Undecicive · 25/01/2022 16:30

That's gross, of course you need to change them.

FangsForTheMemory · 25/01/2022 16:31

YABVU. I wouldn't dream of doing this. The thought of sleeping on someone else's sheets is . . . ew.

Frlrlrubert · 25/01/2022 16:31

YABU, I'm the least houseproud person I know and even I would always change sheets between guests

Lazylegend · 25/01/2022 16:31

I personally wouldn't want to lay where someone else have had their sweaty body. Why don't you change bottom sheet, pillowcase and use a sheet under duvet and change that

AuntyMabelandPippin · 25/01/2022 16:31

Yuk!

Mooghulempress · 25/01/2022 16:31

Ok, point taken! Thanks guys!

Gross. Change them.

TheFlis12345 · 25/01/2022 16:32

I probably wouldn’t bother changing them (subject to inspecting to check no make up marks / hairs / smell), any friend who has been at one of our dinner parties would have had too much wine to notice anyway!!!

MrsKDB · 25/01/2022 16:32

UGH. change them!!

WaltzingToWalsingham · 25/01/2022 16:33

Urgh. My standards are very low but I would always change sheets between guests! I'd hate to sleep in somebody else's sheets, no matter how clean they are.

WheelieBinPrincess · 25/01/2022 16:33

Ooh god no I’m a bit ‘bohemian’ in some areas but no way I wouldn’t ever not change sheets between guests.

Think of all the skin flakes. And what if they sleep with their bums out 🤯

Kfjsjdbd · 25/01/2022 16:33

Yep I am another very not houseproud person. I am terrible at remembering to change my own bed sheets. But I always always change between guests. Not doing so really freaks me out.

negomi90 · 25/01/2022 16:35

Yuck!

Toottooot · 25/01/2022 16:36

Gadz min.

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 25/01/2022 16:37

One of my most yucky and miserable memories of staying at the pil's house one Christmas was of trying to get to sleep and realising the bedding hadn't been changed. Not even the pillow cases, as my poor nose detected old dribble on the pillow 🤢🤢🤢

NYnewstart · 25/01/2022 16:39

Totally unreasonable and I’m not even fussy about changing my own sheets very often.

HollaHolla · 25/01/2022 16:39

Just no. I mean, my best mate and I have slept in each other's sheets, but we're single women, it's been an odd night, and largely unexpected stays... but parents/friend. Change the sheets.

RuthTopp · 25/01/2022 16:41

Would you feel ok sleeping on her parents bedsheets ?

YellowLemonz · 25/01/2022 16:42

🤢

TheWildRumpyPumpus · 25/01/2022 16:44

That is pretty foul, and I’m in no way houseproud! No way I’d want to lie in my friend’s parents skinflakes, sweat, sex juices…just no!

mugoftea456 · 25/01/2022 16:44

Ewwwww

maddy68 · 25/01/2022 16:45

Omg why would you think. That's acceptable? Change the feckin sheets you minger

WTF475878237NC · 25/01/2022 16:47

How gross.
