I just had this with hermes. Was meant to arrive on the 30th but arrived yesterday. Hope yours arrives by tomorrow.

Luna2021 · 06/01/2022 11:10

Hermes are the worst courier. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done once they have the package. It's just reach you when it reaches you.

Whenever a package is coming from Hermes I usually get lots of bizarre/false updates claiming I wasn't in (even had this with the driver's location showing on the other side of town!).

SilverHairedCat · 06/01/2022 11:12

You need to contact the seller, not Hermes. They will have a direct line of contact with them, and the clothing to get things moving again.

SilverHairedCat · 06/01/2022 11:12

*clout

Bloody phone

Davros · 06/01/2022 11:13

Agreed, Hermes is the worst. I can't order from M&S now for home delivery because they're so useless. I always collect in store

Fleur405 · 06/01/2022 11:14

Hermes are the worst and it’s been particularly bad recently. But you have to contact the seller and ask them to contact Hermes. It’s still possible for it to arrive on time……..

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 06/01/2022 11:18

This is weird. I have this problem with Yodel but not with Hermes. My Hermes courier is so fantastic p bought her an Xmas present.

Meanwhile in Yodel land, 2 items ordered on 30 th December came on 3rd and 4th of Janu via another courier, whilst Yodel deliver my item ordered on 21st yesterday. I hate Yodel.

StrangerThanSpring · 06/01/2022 11:39

Me, too!

They said we were out when they tried to deliver a week ago and then no update since then.

emmathedilemma · 06/01/2022 11:42

I actually find the DPD the worst for delivery (twice failed to find my front door) but I sent a Xmas present parcel with Hermes dropped it off at collection point on the 17th Dec and despite saying 2-5 days delivery it wasn't delivered until the 29th. It was so long I'd forgotten it hadn't arrived! It's lucky they're old enough to no longer believe in Santa ;)

MarvEll · 06/01/2022 11:42

Ugh Hermes are the worst. I'm still waiting on a Xmas present I ordered at the beginning of December. Who knows if it will ever turn up.

LumosSolem · 06/01/2022 11:46

I find them the best locally to me! The Hermes guy who delivers all the time here and has done for years (and will be here between 12 and 2 😁) is lovely and I bought him some beers for Xmas.

Sorry you're having problems with it though OP, so frustrating!

spanieleyes · 06/01/2022 11:50

I had a Hermes delivery today ( I wasn't in) and asked them to leave it in the bloody big garden shed. They left it under a dead rose bush in a flower bed the other side of the garden having walked passed the shed, twice. They did leave me a pretty picture of a dead rose bush though😁

pengu · 06/01/2022 11:51

I've had multiple issues with Hermes very recently.

They're utter shite at the moment.

pengu · 06/01/2022 11:53

I actually spoke to the driver yesterday, we seem to have the same driver every time. She was delivering one parcel to me, but I was expecting two, I asked if she'd left it in the van etc.

She said there was another crate back at the depot that she didn't bring because it didn't fit in the van! So basically, the next day delivery that I'd paid for depends on whether it all fits. Hermes shouldn't be assigning parcels to people that can't actually deliver.

Trisket · 06/01/2022 11:54

Hermes is the worst

I beg to differ, even though I have had items delayed and misdelivered by Hermes. At least you can go back to the vendor and they can resolve it for you, even if that takes time. (John Lewis even gave me a £10 gift card in compensation.) However, Hermes are legit.

I've very nearly been put out of pocket by an eBay vendor who used Trackingace to deliver an item to me and then insisted it had been delivered even though it hadn't. If you look on Trustpilot you will see many posts suggesting that Trackingace is a scam delivery company which eBay are doing nothing about. I count myself among the fortunate that I got a refund from the vendor, although they are insisting that my item was delivered. I would probably have got my money back if it had got as far as a dispute because I paid through Paypal, but not through eBay.

Doubtful. A year or two ago I had a delivery stuck at hermes for 6 weeks before I gave up and contacted the company for a refund. Even though it said it had been delayed at the warehouse, it had clearly become damaged or lost as it never arrived. Why the lying?🤷‍♀️
lljkk · 06/01/2022 12:05

meh, I've tried offering both Royal Mail & Hermes as delivery services on same items -- no one ever choose the more expensive RM.

I just had trouble getting Hermes parcel to someone. I click on the tracking & the item was at a local store awaiting their collection with ID. Buyer insisted parcel was stuck at a far away depot. I sent screenshot of msg saying the item was at shop 10 minutes walk from buyer. Buyer waits so long (never phones shop in spite of me suggesting they do that) that parcel is no longer there, will come back to me (I hope) eventually.

Possibly I'll never get parcel back & buyer gets refund anyway. I won't sell to that buyer again, certainly. Buyer says use Royal Mail instead -- I can't see how that would have worked out instead.

girlmom21 · 06/01/2022 12:12

Contact the seller. They can send a replacement with someone else if it hasn't been delivered as promised.
They're Hermes' customer - you're not.

Tempusfudgeit · 06/01/2022 12:23

I've had various service from Hermes, from amazing to outrageously bad.

@Tempusfudgeit

Oh, my gosh! That meme is just so true!

lemmein · 06/01/2022 14:42

I send all over the country with Hermes and usually have no problems. They have been very slow over the last couple of weeks but I'm assuming that's down to the bank holidays and people being off with covid - RoyalMail are too.

My own Hermes driver is lovely - though she does whinge every time I see her about having to deliver parcels HmmGrin

lemmein · 06/01/2022 14:45

Sometimes too, when it hasn't moved it's just that it hasn't been scanned but is still going through the system. I've had customers complain their parcels haven't moved, then suddenly it's at their door - on the tracking it'll go from the parcel shop to their door with no inbetween scans. It's very frustrating.

Blueuggboots · 06/01/2022 14:45

I ordered my son a pair of trainers on 10th Dec. Hermes acknowledged the trainers getting to them on 12th Dec. Took them until 4 days ago to admit they'd lost them.

bertieb7 · 06/01/2022 14:47

I ordered my Dh Xmas gift Hermes next day delivery on 18 December and it only arrived on 3 Jan... they are truly awful, sorry OP!
