Birthday gift for my dh and tracking hasn't moved in 2 days its needed for tomorrow. Can't get to speak with a human either. Sorry need a rant.

Our Hermes delivery chap is brilliant.
Yodel and DPD are dreadful in my area. In fact DPD apparently tried to deliver a parcel to me yesterday. We were in all day and no one other than our postie delivered anything.

I ordered something from Depop before Xmas- tracking says Hermes have had it since 30th Dec but it hasn't moved since then. I'm not sure at what point I stop telling myself it's the Xmas break and start trying to sort it out!

I’ve never had a problem with Hermes or Yodel, but DPD really is something else.

Well the 48 hour investigation is up and my parcel is still stuck in the system. Seller sent me a email saying they had had contact from Hermes abt my parcel and its exactly the same thing hermes said to me 2 days ago.🙄

My son’s just gone through the same 48 hour investigation with no result from Hermes. The parcel he was waiting for has been in the Hermes local depot since the 28/12 but they’ve managed to deliver items which were actually ordered since that date. The retailer has now written it off as lost and have offered him a refund or replacement.

I had similar with Hermes just before December, ordered DH an advent calendar item was with Hermes, and status never changed. When I chased up the vendor Hermes declared my parcel lost and I ended up with a refund as by then the calendar was out of stock
Everywhere except some dodgy eBay shops with terrible reviews.

I'm waiting for parcel that should have been here on 6th so its not too late arriving but email said if not here by 11th then I can get a refund.

Also happened with Matalan delivery in November and ended up being refunded.

Never had problems with them before but am wary of ordering if they will be delivering in future.

My update: I contacted Amazon and they said they would send a replacement or refund, and asked which I'd prefer. I asked for a replacement, so they said they would send it guaranteed next day delivery and gave me a 5 pounds voucher as an apology.

The next day, my parents waited in for it to arrive but it got late, so they went for a walk. They kept seeing a van driving around the village and when they arrived home the van was parked at the end of the street. My dad could see Amazon parcels inside so asked if he had a parcel for (dad's last name). The driver said no, so dad asked if they had a parcel for (my last name). The driver said no but he had a parcel for (my first name). There are 2 neighbors with the same first name as me, so dad asked if it was for A or B, he said no it was for (my first and last name). My dad confirmed his address so was able to get my parcel, but he said the guy didn't speak English well and seemed very confused about the addresses. So, I finally have my parcel and have apologised to my parents for the trouble. I definitely won't be ordering anything else to their address. It's too much hassle!

My next day delivery finally turned up a week later. He put it under the front of my car as I wasn’t in!

I’ve got another order coming from another shop and just had an email saying it’s coming with Hermes so let’s see how this plays out!

Well, I have exciting news! I just got an email that my Hermes parcel with be delivered today between 1pm and 3pm. I'm wondering if this is the original parcel or whether it's an imaginary parcel. Life is certainly never dull with Hermes! It's also a bit weird that they sent me this email at 12.30pm.

Mum said it has arrived!!

I ordered walking boots from Sports Direct for a camp DS was going to. Ordered them in plenty of time. Hermes lost them. Utter shower of shite.

All you can do is vow never to order anything from a seller you know uses Hermes ever again. That’s what I’ve done.

Re the immediate problem, can you think of a back-up present you can get quickly, then write off the thing you’ve ordered, contact the seller and ask for a refund. It was time-sensitive and they’ve ballsed up if it was supposed to have arrived by now.

I am having this with DPD, horrible service!!!

Hermes are consistently awful here. I had 3 M&S parcels completely lost in the space of about 10 days; my Hello Fresh delivered to a wrong address; and a book from Amazon left in a wheely bin on - you guessed it - bin day....

I opted for 48hr delivery on a Christmas present the week before Christmas and still haven’t received it. I keep getting updates saying out for delivery, then problem with the delivery, then I wasn’t in (they didn’t come- we have a video doorbell). I have since ordered something from another company due to be delivered today and it Hermes again. We will wait and see! Our usual Hermes driver is brilliant but I suspect he hasn’t been working

Update: both parcels arrived together, and a parcel I ordered on the 30th December 48hr delivery arrived yesterday! To give credit where it’s due, I ordered some hair things from bowtastic at around 2pm yesterday, through my door courtesy of Royal Mail this morning

Still waiting for a parcel that I ordered on 27th of December.

Yesterday I called the retailer and was offered either replacement or refund. I took replacement as I need it (kids school clothes).
Bastard Hermes has the gall to message me this morning to say they will deliver my parcel today(the first one I presume).

I ordered some wool from the works on the 9th paid for next day delivery and hermes sent me an email saying they had my parcel....that was it! It never changed from at depot for days, I finally managed to start an email complaint for them to look into it only to receive a reply saying they were happy to see it had been delivered, the tracking link they provided in the email showed it was still at the depot! They finally admitted it was lost on Tuesday, the works sent a replacement next day delivery and yet again its sat at the depot!

I'm told our usual delivery guy is/was on holiday, the ironic thing is they have literally just delivered a next parcel to me, knocked and went with it by the front door. I saw the car as it pulled up just down the Rd and it wasn't the usual driver and had bloody L plates on, 2 people in the car. I've emailed hermes yet again, if anyone needs the email it's

Ive had this with Hermes this week
courier attempted to deliver the parcel ,not a frigging clue what they took a picture of
looked at the address they were trying to find ie Ours realised they had missed out the name of our drive even though they had the bloody postcode. bloody hopeless courier service

I suspect that if companies are losing too much money having to replace items lost by Hermes then companies will start to not want to do business with them anymore. As customers, Hermes won't deal with us, they will only deal directly with the client. But my experiences with Amazon using Hermes had definitely put me off using them and others will feel the same, I'm sure.
