Hi all, is anyone wanting to hear from a mandatory Reconsideration? Been waiting since 14th February.

Thank you for your help

Sorry waiting*

Mum2Two91 · 06/03/2022 20:33

@Imitatingdory Sorry for late reply didn’t notice the notification, yes there keeping to time scales. Although the lady we have as case manager is very slow at replying to my emails and never answers her phone. We asked for a different case manager as she was the one to refuse to assess when he was in school, and we appealed her decision, we feel as though she was more on schools side when they neglected ours sons needs. Anyway where on the right track, we need to ring about his home education whilst awaiting the EHC assessment process. Will do this tomorrow. Thank you so much

19 weeks exactly for change of circumstances. Just checked my bank and there's a back payment went in.

NameChanged15729 · 07/03/2022 07:55

Hi all, does anybody know how back payments for the disabled child element on universal credit work?

I asked for the disabled child element to be backdated to the start date of my daughters dla claim. It went to a decision maker who accepted the reason for the delay in notifying them. The letter didn’t say when or how I’d be paid the backdated amount though!

Anyone done this before? I’m tempted to phone them but I don’t know when I’ll get a chance.

Leanne21unicorn · 08/03/2022 12:09

They received my sons claim on 31st December , anyone no the waiting’s times ? . I received a letter on the 17th feb saying sorry we haven’t dealt with your claim yet .

PuddlePip · 08/03/2022 12:21

@J84b04j23 hope you've got a decision, should be any time now. My son was awarded hrc and lrm. I do think he should be entitled to hrm but I know its a bit of a grey area in children with autism. Not really sure what to do.

I think for new claims it is around 11/12 weeks. So not too much longer for you. Mine was received 5th January, so I am a little bit after you.
J84b04j23 · 08/03/2022 12:49

Mine took four months from start to finish.

PuddlePip · 09/03/2022 09:32

@J84b04j23 mine was received 25th. I think it must be to do with how quick your decision maker gets through claims because you should have heard before me

J84b04j23 · 09/03/2022 11:22
