Boris

Does anyone else wish that the PM would stop turning up at vaccine centres, where he probably gets in the way, instead of concentrating on his own job and start solving the many problems facing this country?

YANBU

But YABU to call him Boris. Just like his scruffy look, referring to him as Boris, BoJo etc just plays into his hands.
It wasn’t Teresa, David, Nick, Gordon, Tony etc.
Boris Johnson is not a man of the people - he is odious, self serving, culpable, evades personal and professional responsibility but is seemingly totally unaccountable.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2021 20:19

I saw the thread title and thought 'uh-oh you will get told off for calling him 'Boris' even though everyone calls him Boris. Grin
Unless there's loads of people called Boris, that look like Boris Johnson turning up at vaccination centres...

That said, I haven't seen any coverage of him doing that but he has to keep pushing the booster presumably.

Agree!

B.O.R.I.S B.O.R.I.S B.O.R.I.S
and Boris is not his name-o!

Pixxie7 · 29/12/2021 20:20

True but it was Tony. Also all though I didn’t necessarily agree with their policies I did have some respect for their position. I have absolutely none for him.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2021 20:20

It was definitely 'Maggie'!

You must call him Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson at all times.

PurpleDaisies · 29/12/2021 20:22

At least boris wasn’t dressed up as anything this time. Someone must have kept him out of the dressing up box.

OddBoots · 29/12/2021 20:23

Prime Minister Johnson or even Mr Johnson makes him sound like an actual grown up.

Pixxie7 · 29/12/2021 20:26

As far as him pushing the boosters there are lots of people doing that not to mention the adverts on tv.

OP posts:
LittleBearPad · 29/12/2021 20:27

Question is where’s he been for the last 10 days. His answer on the BBC ‘in this country’ is bloody odd…

TinyLittlePandaSneeze · 29/12/2021 20:27

I think it's nice of him to show up and thank the vaccinators. And I'm not really a fan generally.

Ooh what was it?
noworklifebalance · 29/12/2021 20:28

I remember Maggie as being Thatcher or Margaret Thatcher when she was in power and Maggie after but I was a child so may have misremembered.
“Boris” really winds me up as it’s part of the affable personal that he has curated and I abhor him.
It wasn’t a dig at you, OP (although I did say YABU, apologies) - you were the messenger, so to speak.

But he is the Prime Minister so presumably he has been advised to do some booster pushing? I don't know really. Is he going to one a day?

Maggie, Maggie, Maggie Out! Out! Out!

She definitely wasn’t always Margaret Thatcher or Thatcher

Tealightsandd · 29/12/2021 23:41

Personal preference, but I think Alexander is a much nicer name than Boris.

Seemslikeagoodidea · 30/12/2021 00:06

I don't think he's doing any harm, and it might even improve staff morale a bit if he goes around thanking all the staff and volunteers there - it's a nice thing to do. He has his faults but when did thanking people become objectionable?

I’m not sure Boris having into view would cheer me up. But then I think he’s a lying wanker
Amoozbooze · 30/12/2021 00:20

I call him Boris, not because I think he's a friendly chappy but because it's a clowns name.

JohnHuffam1812 · 30/12/2021 00:21

Stop calling him Boris.

He isn't a mate or a regular guy.

His friends and family call him Alex or Al, because Boris is the public stage name.

We can't call him Boris because he's not a mate but his mates call him Alex or Al, so we can't call him that either. I'm a bit confused as to the rules here.
JohnHuffam1812 · 30/12/2021 00:28

Johnson.

Or Prime Minster Johnson

Calling him Boris is what he wants, he sounds like your mate, but he gets to keep his real name for private use.

Give him the title that he so wanted and his buffonary looks more and more ridiculous

Prime Minister Johnson

JohnHuffam1812 · 30/12/2021 00:29

" Boris looked scruffy at PMQs today, a bit disheveled"

"Prime Minsister Johnson looked scruffy at PMQs today..

That fucko de Pfeffel was on telly at a vaccine centre this evening with his nose hanging out of his mask. Brilliant. Top quality prime ministering there.

LittleBearPad · 30/12/2021 00:36

It’s a good point John and draws out the gulf between the role and the inadequate currently occupying it

StrangeAddiction · 30/12/2021 01:06

I've taken to calling him Boris Gump after seeing someone call him that on a local FB page and it made me laugh.

I call him Boris/Boris Johnson (as well as other names) because calling him Prime Minister or Mr Johnson would make him sound important and capable and someone I had respect for.
