Does anyone else wish that the PM would stop turning up at vaccine centres, where he probably gets in the way, instead of concentrating on his own job and start solving the many problems facing this country?

OP posts:

@Samcro

why is it nasty to point out how useless the PM is.
It is not.

In a free country, political leaders are rightly subject to scrutiny and the public can express their opinion.

LittleBearPad · 30/12/2021 10:03

The vaccine is his one is success so far.

The logistics of which he had very little to do with. He owes Kate Bingham a lot.

JohnHuffam1812 · 30/12/2021 10:05

But its the one he can claim.

Everything else has the reverse midas touch, everything turns to shit.

Sparklingbrook · 30/12/2021 10:07

I think it’s just the ‘ooh Boris has done something I need to start a thread on MN saying how wrong it is’ thing. After a bit it gets Hmm
Maybe there could be one long thread that could just continue with each thing?

FindingMeno · 30/12/2021 10:08

The only place I wish he'd turn up is the dole queue.

JohnHuffam1812 · 30/12/2021 10:09

That thread would be full 100s of times over.

He is known for not turning up to meetings (didn't attend recently) but turning up for photo ops.

Light in detail big on the publicity. It's fine to criticise a PM for this.

Yes and then there could be thread two and so on…
JohnHuffam1812 · 30/12/2021 10:10

Or it could just be done the way it is? Seems to work.

RussianSpy101 · 30/12/2021 10:11

@LittleBearPad presumably spending time with his new baby?

Sparklingbrook · 30/12/2021 10:11

Yes loads and loads of threads saying how terrible he is instead of one. Brilliant. 😂

The people who are dying in hospital are those who have not been vaccinated or bolstered. He's trying to increase the amount of people getting a booster. Where he goes, the cameras go. He then gives an interview about deaths and boosters. That's his job, isn't it? Yesterday people on here were criticising him for not being seen. Now people are criticising him because he is being seen. He can't win. 🤷

@noworklifebalance

I remember Maggie as being Thatcher or Margaret Thatcher when she was in power and Maggie after but I was a child so may have misremembered. “Boris” really winds me up as it’s part of the affable personal that he has curated and I abhor him. It wasn’t a dig at you, OP (although I did say YABU, apologies) - you were the messenger, so to speak.
Boris is an insult though, it's not affable, it mean utterly cock wobble cunt
Sparklingbrook · 30/12/2021 10:18

That's where I am with all this.

JohnHuffam1812 · 30/12/2021 10:21

There is being present at meetings and doing the job, then there is being at photo ops for publicity.

Different things.

rrhuth · 30/12/2021 10:24

I think the number of threads is a clear indicator of how pissed off people are about the leadership of the country at the moment.

If I was working for the Tory party, I would see the proliferation of these individual expressions of frustration right across all platforms as being a serious sign.

It is the very fact people feel motivated to start their own threads that indicates a more pronounced problem for the PM. I have never started a thread and have been arsey about Johnson since he was Mayor, but the change in general tone is real and backs up what is being uncovered in opinion polling.

So whilst it is not tidy and it is repetitive, it is saying something.

Sparklingbrook · 30/12/2021 10:26

i think it's a knee jerk reaction to whatever Boris has or hasn't done that day/hour and knowing that everyone will flock to chuck sweary insults around for the umpteenth time.

But the publicity isn't for himself. It's to get people to get a booster by giving death figures, etc, so we don't need to close down. That's his job as well.
rrhuth · 30/12/2021 10:31

The opinion polling is pretty clear. His personal ratings are bad now and continuing to slide.

The Tory party is concerned, because it is real. People are not happy.

I think it was to put wee Nippy back in her box! And I don't blame him!

I know she's like marmite, I actually like her, but thinking the Prime Minister (no matter who it is) needs her permission to go to Scotland?!?! She needed putting straight.

Prime Minister Johnson - nah, confers a respect that I just don't have. Boris is fine.
Wee Nippy Hmm

I fucking hate that misogynistic shite.

BlameItOnTheBlackStar · 30/12/2021 10:44

Can we just agree that the use of first names is basically to make it easiers for editors when writing headlines?

LittleBearPad · 30/12/2021 10:46
@LittleBearPad presumably spending time with his new baby?
Hahahahahahaha 🤣

I’m not sure he’s the paternal type though the 7, 8 or 9 children he has should give him practice.

The question is where - in the Uk or in the Caribbean?

JohnHuffam1812 · 30/12/2021 10:46

I hate "wee nippy" too.

Johnson should be known as Worzel Gummidge

Sparklingbrook · 30/12/2021 10:47

I had no idea 'what Wee Nippy' was. I assume Nicola can't do anything right either though?

sleepismyhobby · 30/12/2021 10:48

But he is helpful he rolls his sleeves up and ticks his tie in his shirt . Yanbu if I was a vaccinator id want him to piss off out the way
