I did the most Mumsnetty thing I've ever done today. Guess what it was?

Today I did probably the most Mumsnetty thing I've ever done. Am the first to admit that when I read about it on Mumsnet I was deeply skeptical, but after today I'm converted. Go on, guess what it was?

Bleaching skirting boards is one that must have passed me by.
How does one do this without marking the carpets?

Derrymum123 · 19/12/2021 21:42

Got all your ducks in a row?
Found the missing ironing board?

justasking111 · 19/12/2021 21:42

How do you safely bleach skirting boards (asking for a friend)

We have a poo dog dustpan and brush for old dog who occasionally drops a little package or has the trots. Written on the brush with indelible marker is the word Pooh Only. OH uses the normal dustpan and brush every bloody time 🤬

MostlyGuesswork · 19/12/2021 21:43

What's Brian's contact number? Asking for a friend.

Had 'picky bits' for tea?

Peppapigforlife · 19/12/2021 21:46

@BakedTattie

A poo knife is a knife for cutting up excessively large turds that cannot be flushed away.

Sometimes referred to as poo stick or in our house, metal coat hanger 😂

How is a poo knife a thing?? Who does turds that big??

Apparently, people that eat pineapples are better off, so even if you don’t like them, put one in the fruit bowl so others think you are wealthy.

A whole bowl full of oranges with the leaves on, or a cake stand with only lemons on it does a similar job.

To be fair, it might have been quite an obscure reference, but it's definitely popped up a few times. I think the original Mumsnetter who mentioned it was talking about how little they'd managed to get done in a day's cleaning and when they listed what they'd done, bleaching the skirting boards was on there. Oh, how I scoffed, at the time. But now...well...it was so good I started a thread about it. Grin

Whole new wardrobe from Biden? Don't!!
This is my new favourite typo. Imagine, a whole new wardrobe, designed by Joe Biden. Sigh, a girl can dream.

Something about puddles. I've been here two years and I still want to know about that story!
