AIBU to think Cadbury have ruined Christmas by stopping selling the delicious squares of chocolate as tree decorations only to flog me HOLLOW baubles which appear to be made of the same slimy chocolate as their Easter eggs of late? Ruined, I tell you!

I totally agree, they are bloody awful.

HolidaysAreHolidays · 09/12/2021 16:54

I haven't seen this myself, but I agree it is bad news. I've unfortunately missed this completely because I don't quite trust my dog not to pinch any edible decorations this year.

PatriotCanes · 09/12/2021 16:58

And they cost a bloody fortune! I've got some from Lidl as I already know they will be hollow, cheap and rank tasting.

NeedsCharging · 09/12/2021 17:01

Are a bag of gold coins a suitable replacement?
Not hollow but generally cheap chocolate. I find eating one then washing it down with a large mouthful of Baileys helps Grin

LaurieFairyCake · 09/12/2021 17:03

How do you buy Irish Cadbury's? Apparently theirs no palm oil and only milk

Anyone know ? I'd buy a FUCK TON of it

cupcakedaisy · 09/12/2021 17:04

I've swapped to putting freddo frogs in the tree Grin Lovely solid lumps of chocolate to enjoy Christimas!

RunRunGingerbreadMan · 09/12/2021 17:05

Agreed, I looked everywhere for them and am so annoyed as I don't want purple baubles, I want tree chocolates in square present shapes! Completely ruined.

Imdreamingofapeacefulxmas · 09/12/2021 17:07

I've actually had enough of Cadbury, can't we all tweet them and ask them what have they done to ruin this once beautiful chocolate and turned it into slime!!

CasaBonita · 09/12/2021 17:09

YES!!! I've been searching everywhere for the solid squares. I don't want shitty hollow baubles Angry

iloveeverykindofcat · 09/12/2021 17:14

Cadbury's has been going downhill for a long time tbh. Tesco own brand dark is surprisingly good.

Dacquoise · 09/12/2021 17:14

I think you are exceedingly privileged being able to put food on your Christmas trees. Two dogs and turned back and that tree would be toast!

Joystir59 · 09/12/2021 17:16

No tree chocs here I'd eat them all in one go.

caz114 · 09/12/2021 17:18

Well, at least them tasting awful has kept them on the tree, my Advent calender only made it until 3rd December!

IncessantNameChanger · 09/12/2021 17:21

I dont think I'm going to buy any chocolate this Christmas. After Easter and then a box of dairy milk, it's all unedable shite now. I might get some heros as the fillings mask the shit chocolate

Anjo2011 · 09/12/2021 17:22

I didn’t realise they had stopped making them I thought I just hadn’t seen them yet. How can they think a hollow one is a good substitute. I agree it’s crap.

NeedsCharging · 09/12/2021 17:25

How much!!

Christmas ruined!!!!!!!
Nichebitch · 09/12/2021 17:25

With you, OP.

Personally I'm just waiting for Mini Eggs to ho on sale...

ClowningAround21 · 09/12/2021 17:28

European chocolate is the best, our stuff can't be called Chocolate over there, too much milk i think, such a shame cadbury was allowed to be sold off.

I love the lidl's dark stuff, laced with orange or similar.

Amazon.
MaHBroon · 09/12/2021 17:30

They’re bloody awful. And so small you’d need a magnifying glass to find them on most Christmas trees.

Lizzy1980 · 09/12/2021 17:30

Cadbury's is crap these days isn't it. This reminds me of when my Mother's friend and her family were visiting from America a few years ago. She picked up a bar of Dairy Milk in Sainsburys and said to her daughter 'Look at this, they get Cadbury's over here now' 🙄 It was especially funny as we live a five minute drive from Bournville in Birmingham

Riverlee · 09/12/2021 17:31

I just presumed my online supermarket just hadn’t got them in yet. Cadburys - shame on you!

Anjo2011 · 09/12/2021 17:32

I might have to put some thread through some dairy milk out of the heroes tub and hang them up. DIY baubles .
