AIBU to think Cadbury have ruined Christmas by stopping selling the delicious squares of chocolate as tree decorations only to flog me HOLLOW baubles which appear to be made of the same slimy chocolate as their Easter eggs of late? Ruined, I tell you!

I dont think I'm going to buy any chocolate this Christmas. After Easter and then a box of dairy milk, it's all unedable shite now. I might get some heros as the fillings mask the shit chocolate

Get some christmas shaped moulds, melt down some chocolate and make your own?

I've actually had enough of Cadbury, can't we all tweet them and ask them what have they done to ruin this once beautiful chocolate and turned it into slime!!

I wish everybody would but unfortunately you get lots if people saying 'it doesn't taste any different' or 'I still like it.'

@LaurieFairyCake just checked two bars in my press (bought in different shops) they are both from the UK, also taste the same as cadbury I've had here and in the UK.

Cadburys have been shite for years.

I used to be a self proclaimed chocoholic. Thanks to cadburys I can't bloody stand the stuff.

Milka are by far the superior chocolate brand.

Cadbury killed Christmas years ago.

I bought a tin of Roses and we ended up throwing them out. Cloyingly sweet, oily, shite.

They are POXY. Wouldn't even make Rice Krispie cakes with them.

The ones on Amazon are half the size of normal bars at 47g and are £20 - so I don't trust them. I want it normal prices

OP I'm sorry if they're part of your Christmas, but Cadburys have been crap for years now. I know this is poncetastic but I hate 'English' milk chocolate anyway - which is to say, cheap stuff with vegetable oil in. It's too sickly for me. If chocolate decorations have to be on your tree, treat yourself. Go to Hotel Chocolat, buy a couple of those little trays of their booziest truffles, wrap them in pretty foil and hang THOSE on your tree! (out of the way of the kids and dogs)

Yanbu op. I am not vegan but have switched to vegan chocolate as it seems to taste better and not be a slimy over sugared yuckiest like Cadbury’s has turned into. I like NOMO a lot.

@LaurieFairyCake have you tried the Aussie Cadburys in B&M? No palm oil, made with full fat cream (I think).

Bit more pricey but worth it.

Cadbury's chocolate is shockingly bad. The slimy aftertaste is disgusting. I refuse to buy it now & line the pockets of those that ruined the original.

My youngest used to love freedom and diary milk. For the first time in years, she's refused to eat the rest of her cadburys freddo chocolate calendar. She said it tastes weird and disgusting. She's asked for a different calendar, for next year.

I have taken to a "build your own" selection in an old tin just to confuse. Pick up packs of sweets we like and mix in with a small pack of celebrations.

@Georgieporgie29 The yellow label on the shelving itself has them detailed as 'Aussie' from memory, I think also if you look at the ingredients on the pack I think it has a sticker on it and you can tell it's imported.

Didn't Cadbury get bought up by Kraft, which is American, and Americans pit loads of palm oil and other junk in their chocolate because it has to travel long distances and cope with different extremes of heat, cold, humidity and aridity? It's made in Poland now. They said they'd keep the Somerville factory open then immediately closed it. I buy chocolonely now, if anything.
