A universal necklace you can always wear?

I have never been much of a jewelry person but I am slowly converting. I would love to pick out a delicate (timeless?) necklace I could wear everyday and with any outfit but I really don't know where to look for one.

I have a white gold engagement ring so would probably like to go along the lines of a similar metal to not contrast it too much. So silver or white gold probably.

Where does everyone go for their jewelry nowadays? Any good online retailers or high street stores worth looking into?
Or even better - considering my taste can be questionable - any actual pieces that are nice?

I second this one! I have it in rose gold and it’s beautiful.

Jewellery tastes are so different. I could only ever wear a single round diamond on a single chain if I had to wear it every day.

I have a simple silver pendant that is made from a mould of a stone from my favourite beach. Simple, very nice for fiddling with and meaningful. I love it.

I've got an old diamond gold Tiffany necklace (don't think on their website anymore) which I used to wear most days but prefer to wear with diamond studs and I don't tend to wear diamonds much now.

Otherwise I don't really wear a necklace every day but have also been wearing a Tiffany silver lariat hearts necklace too which I'd forgotten I had.

when I was a teenager - I wore a silver floral (engraved) fairly large Victorian cross on a chain - almost every day - unless I wore that (not sure about that really now) now I'd quite like to update to something else. No idea what.

Current boyfriend is Cypriot though and they do some lovely silver jewellery from Cyprus if he was ever to buy me something.

There's so many on the John Lewis website I can't link them all but I have now added loads to my mental wish list

She makes many different styles, definitely my favourite jeweller.

Another vote for Tiffany here! Their pieces are beautifully designed, and their silver bits are (relatively) affordable for how wearable they are.

I wear this one most days, my Chinese zodiac animal is the tiger (and in the Western zodiac I’m Pisces but I like tigers!)
