A universal necklace you can always wear?

I have never been much of a jewelry person but I am slowly converting. I would love to pick out a delicate (timeless?) necklace I could wear everyday and with any outfit but I really don't know where to look for one.

I have a white gold engagement ring so would probably like to go along the lines of a similar metal to not contrast it too much. So silver or white gold probably.

Where does everyone go for their jewelry nowadays? Any good online retailers or high street stores worth looking into?
Or even better - considering my taste can be questionable - any actual pieces that are nice?

I have N Alex Munroe Silver Bee . I don't even take it off when I go running. I'm hoping for the flora initial for Christmas to wear with it.

I have the classic return to Tiffany necklace, which I received for Christmas 3-ish years ago. I never take it off, it's holding up really well and goes with everything imo. The same person bought me the matching earrings last Christmas too, and although I don't wear the earrings as much, they do make a lovely set!

Ooohhh... there are some gorgeous suggestions here. I had no idea Georg Jensen did jewellery. I wonder if DH will notice if my Xmas present wish list items have an extra 0 on the end of them compared to normal!!

That's their main thing isn't it? I love some of the sleeker jewellery, the stuff that looks like molten metal. It's so tactile.

Thanks to this thread I'm now wearing my big chunky silver Jensen ring and dangly rose quartz earrings with my pyjamas while I lie on the sofa watching telly.

I wear a Pandora necklace with a flower for every day. I don't wear jewellery regularly but have had this one on for two years now 🤣

I had a very heavy silver t-bar chain my parents bought me 20 years ago but it was stolen. I wore it all the time.

I have a silver locket DH bought me when DS was born. It goes with everything and has a lot of sentimental meaning.

Have a look at Daniella Draper jewellery, there's a lot of timeless/classic pieces.
I alternate between that and a simple Boodles necklace.

Can I jump.on the bandwagon and ask of anyone has any recommendations for a gold coloured necklace I could give my 60 year old mum for Christmas? It would need to be an every day kind of one as she doesn't go out out much, and she tends to wear gold stuff rather than silver. About £100ish

I second Monica Vinander. I've had one of her diamond bracelets for years and it is still beautiful despite never taking it off. Her pieces are timeless, simple and elegant. Saving up for a necklace hoping the January sale will be good

I wear a Tiffany Elsa peretti silver heart and Pearl lariat. I get so many compliments on it and it's simple but really lovely.
