Adele Ticket Prices

Saw elsewhere people discussing ticket prices for Adele and that there are payment plans available. Since when do you need payment plans for a gig?

Had a look and it’s £257 for one ticket. It’s outrageous.

You would have to pay me to go to an Adele concert, she’s not that good and has a foul mouth.

JorisBonson · 28/10/2021 17:15

She's doing BST at Hyde park and the prices aren't anywhere near that.

TeeTotaller1 · 28/10/2021 17:17

I remember paying 25 quid to see Springsteen at Wembley

Unsuremover · 28/10/2021 17:18

I was looking at Elton John tickets and they must have thought I wanted to get up and do a song with him for the price of the ticket.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 28/10/2021 17:19

Sorry that was meant to be 5 and 7.

Also doing BST, got tickets for £85!
ZittiEBuoni · 28/10/2021 17:23

Tickets for La Traviata at the Royal Opera House start at £11 but opera's sooo elitist Hmm.

JurgensCakeBaby · 28/10/2021 17:23

When I was young living in East London we'd go to gigs all the time and £25 was seen as pretty expensive, a weekend ticket with camping to Reading festival was about £85 this was early 2000s not the seventies. It's a shame that it's becoming so inaccessible.

Pinkywoo · 28/10/2021 17:23

This is why I loved Prince, when I saw him at the O2 tickets were £31.21 (he had an album called 3121). He also gave albums away for free with newspapers, basically didn't give a shit about making more money just wanted people to enjoy the music. 💜

JustAnotherDayWorkingAtHome · 28/10/2021 17:25

She is very grabby, after her first album she went nuts about her tax bill (4 million pounds) well yeah love if you make millions of pounds of profits you will have to pay some tax...boo hoo

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 28/10/2021 17:26

I'd pay that not to ever hear her dreadful warbling again.

Bontanics · 28/10/2021 17:27

That'll be the Viagogo prices from the presale or in other words, Touts. General sale tickets on sale on the 30th which will probably be lower price but will sell out in minutes.

ninnynonny · 28/10/2021 17:28

We paid £300 each for Ricky Gervais which a bit.... particularly as we saw him in our home city about 5 years ago, in a lovely small venue for about £40.
It was ds Xmas present two years ago though ad we do really love him!

SpiderinaWingMirror · 28/10/2021 17:29

It is ridiculous. However, paid 260 to see the police at Wembley arena 13 years ago. Worth every penny (was 37 weeks pregnant but I knew it was my last chance to see them and I am actually 14 in my head)
And I have paid 750 quid to see Adam Lambert and Queen next year with dh and dd (who is now 13!). Its outrageous but again prob last chance to see them.

Rubyupbeat · 28/10/2021 17:30

The artists don't set the prices and actually dont make much at all from live gigs.

SquirrelFan · 28/10/2021 17:37

Given that musicians don't make as much from sales of their music as they used to, I don't think it's unreasonable. Out of the reach of most people, but not unreasonable.

Loudestcat14 · 28/10/2021 17:59

Payment plans for a gig???? The fact those are being offered should surely should indicate to Adele and her management that the tickets are ridiculously overpriced? Do they charge interest on the plans? Is she expecting fans to get into debt to see her?

puginamug · 28/10/2021 18:06

Most of the tickets are £90. That's about standard for a big artist these days. I don't really understand the problem.

Yes it's unfair not everyone will get one but I doubt she sets the ticket price

And imagine the number of fans desperate for a ticket if they were half the price.

Someone on Twitter said it excluded 'true fans'. Who says that true fans can't afford a ticket.

I've seen what friends pay for football matches.

Most of the outrage seems to ve because she's a working class woman and therefore somehow should be ashamed of herself.

Thedogscollar · 28/10/2021 18:06

@CaputApriDefero

Crikey! I'd only pay that if they resurrected Freddie Mercury
I'm with you there. Now he was worth the money.
Watchingyou2sleezes · 28/10/2021 18:06

Ditto

Are you on drugs. Live performances are the biggest earner for artists these days
gabsdot45 · 28/10/2021 18:10

I paid 240Euro to see Hugh Jackman a couple of years ago during his tour. I sat in the second row and it was totally worth it.

Edele, Nah,

Row1n · 28/10/2021 18:13

Yeah I wouldnt pay anywhere near that for any gig but def not Adele. Ive gone right off her, and her most recent song is just a way for her to remind us of the range of her voice, trilling up and down and all over the place as much as she can - yeah we get it love!

Pachonga · 28/10/2021 18:14

They’re £90 for general admission. There are some other, more expensive categories of tickets but the vast majority are the £90 ones. Every concert I’ve got tickets for in the last ten years has done various VIP package things, it’s normal now. People obviously pay it so I don’t see the problem.

£90 is still a good chunk of change but not quite as alarmist as £200+. If whoever sets the prices thinks she can sell out then I suppose they’re not too expensive.

I don’t like Adele and from her previous comments about tax and stuff she sounds grabby, but I can’t get worked up about this. She’s not providing a social service.

Pedalpushers · 28/10/2021 18:14

It's an awful lot to pay for someone who has notorious live singing issues and has cancelled many a show in her time.
